YouTube Bodycam Scriptwriter / Case Manager

We run bodycam content on YouTube and we're hiring a scriptwriter/case manager to own individual cases. What the role actually is: You're given a case — raw bodycam footage (often long, often multiple camera angles), plus police reports, or news coverage. Your job is to understand what happened well enough to explain it, then build the story from the footage itself. That means: - Watching the raw footage in full and building a clear picture of the incident - Cross-referencing reports and articles to fill in what the camera doesn't show - Selecting the clips that carry the story and putting them in the right order - Writing light connective script — enough to bridge gaps, add context, and keep the viewer oriented. - This isn't heavy narration writing; the footage does most of the work - Flagging anything legally sensitive or factually unclear rather than guessing Example video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZVNQztotr5w Who this suits: - People who are genuinely curious about what happened in a case and find the moments that matter. - True crime interest helps, strong English comprehension is essential — a lot of bodycam audio is unclear, accented, or overlapping, and you need to follow it accurately. - Basic knowledge of US laws (must be able to differentiate between 'charges' and 'sentencing') - Ability to use proper terms and professional language How this role grows in the future: We're building AI tooling into this pipeline. Over time, the writing component will shrink and the role will shift toward clip selection and case management across a higher volume of cases.
