I am editing an online journal of culture and ideas called "Majuscule" and I am looking for 1000-word "letters." Each "letter" will be written from a specific geographic location, so, "Letter from London," "Letter from Bangkok," etc. This "letter from" format will thus be a report on some element of culture, politics, or art particular to a specific location and focused on something current or contemporary. So, for example, a "Letter from London" could be a report on the political mood in the city regarding Brexit; a "Letter from Tokyo" could be a report on how young artists are making their way in a depressed economy, etc. Go to majusculelit.com and look at some of the past entries. PLEASE READ THEM BEFORE SUBMITTING. The tone should be conversational, literary, thoughtful, and concrete -- it is important that it convey the flavor of the particular locale in detail.
