Summary

We are an industrial chiller manufacturer seeking a highly experienced industrial control panel engineer to complete the electrical panel designs for two custom 575 VAC, 3-phase chillers being shipped to Ontario, Canada. This is an extremely time-sensitive project. We need both panel designs completed and ready to hand off to a local cULus/UL-listed panel shop within 2–3 days of project start. Please only apply if you can begin immediately and dedicate enough time to meet this schedule. We have existing chiller designs, schematics, component information, PLC/HMI architecture, known electrical loads, and examples of our existing production panels, but the two 575 VAC panels have not yet been fully engineered. We are looking for someone who can take our existing documentation and functional requirements and independently complete the panel engineering so the finished packages can be handed directly to a local cULus/UL-listed panel shop for fabrication and certification. The two systems are approximately 10-ton and 25-ton industrial refrigeration chillers. They include compressor motor circuits, condenser fans, pumps, heaters, 24 VDC controls, PLC/HMI controls, relays/contactors, safeties, sensors, and associated refrigeration controls. The selected engineer should be capable of completing and reviewing: * Power and control schematics * 575 VAC three-phase distribution * Branch circuit protection * Disconnect and overcurrent protection sizing * Motor contactor and overload selection * Control power / 24 VDC distribution * Conductor sizing * Panel component selection * UL/CSA component acceptability * SCCR determination and design * Panel layout * BOM development/finalization * Wire and terminal identification * External equipment connections * Documentation required by a UL 508A/cULus panel builder Experience designing equipment for Canadian 575/600 VAC electrical systems is strongly preferred. The ideal candidate has personally designed industrial control panels that were subsequently built and labeled by a UL 508A and/or cULus panel shop. Experience with CSA C22.2 No. 286, Canadian Electrical Code requirements applicable to industrial equipment, and SCCR calculations is highly desirable. We will provide existing North Slope chiller schematics, electrical loads, known components, PLC/HMI information, mechanical/layout constraints, and examples of our existing production panels. This is not primarily a drafting assignment. We need an engineer who can make appropriate panel-design decisions, identify compliance issues, recommend component changes where necessary, and deliver two build-ready packages on a very aggressive schedule. The 25-ton and 10-ton systems share a similar overall architecture, so we expect the first design to establish much of the structure for the second. Both completed design packages are required within 2–3 days of project start. Please include your immediate availability and confirm that you can commit to this turnaround before applying.
