We're building a new AI-powered HubSpot Marketplace app and need a builder who can move fast from concept to shipped product. ## The Role We're hiring a Contract-to-Hire **AI Engineer + Full Stack Developer** to design and build an AI-powered HubSpot Marketplace application. This isn't a "write some code and wait for review" role — we need someone who can architect agentic systems, wire up multi-step automation loops, and use modern AI-assisted dev tools to move at 5x the pace of traditional development. This is a hands-on builder role reporting directly to the founder, with a clear path to full-time based on performance and fit. The Product HubSpot marketplace app. The app will function as an AI agent, integrating with HubSpot and RevOp to help companies identify and recover lost revenue. Responsibilities include developing the app to execute campaigns to win back lost revenue. The role offers a contract-to-hire opportunity for the right candidate. What You'll Do - Design and build a multi-tenant HubSpot Marketplace app from architecture through deployment (OAuth, webhooks, HubSpot API scopes, billing via Stripe) - Build AI agent workflows — loops, graphs, and recursive/self-correcting systems — that automate core parts of the app's logic (e.g., meeting/email lifecycle management, data enrichment, workflow triggers) - Use AI-assisted build tools (Lovable, Replit, Claude Code, or similar) as a primary development accelerant — not just for prototypes, but for production-quality code - Architect and maintain backend infrastructure, APIs, and integrations connecting HubSpot, Stripe, and other third-party services - Write high-quality prompts and system instructions that reliably drive agentic behavior in production, not just demos - Collaborate directly with the founder and RevOps team to translate GTM/RevOps requirements into technical specs - Own code quality, testing, and deployment pipelines as the sole (initially) or lead technical resource What You Bring - **10+ years of software development experience**, with a strong concentration in AI/ML engineering (LLM integration, agentic frameworks, RAG, prompt engineering) in recent years - **5+ years of hands-on HubSpot experience** — you understand the CRM object model, workflows, custom objects, API scopes, and marketplace app requirements without a learning curve - Proven experience building and shipping a **HubSpot Marketplace app** (strongly preferred) or a comparable SaaS integration with OAuth and webhook architecture - Advanced, demonstrable skill in **prompt engineering** — able to design multi-step agent loops, tool-use graphs, and recursive/self-improving systems, not just single-shot prompts - Fluency with AI-assisted development tools (**Lovable, Replit, Claude Code, Cursor**, or equivalents) used to accelerate real production builds - Full stack proficiency (modern JS/TS framework, Node or Python backend, REST/GraphQL APIs, relational databases) - Experience with Stripe or similar billing integration for multi-tenant SaaS - Strong written communication — you'll be working async with a lean team and need to document decisions clearly Nice to Have - Experience with multi-tenant SaaS architecture - Familiarity with RevOps/GTM concepts (lead scoring, buy signals, nurture sequencing) - Prior contract-to-hire or fractional/consulting experience Engagement Details - **Type:** Contract-to-hire (clear path to full-time based on performance) - **Structure:** Remote, direct collaboration with founder/leadership - **Start:** As soon as the right fit is identified How to Apply Send a brief note on your HubSpot Marketplace app experience (or closest equivalent), 2-3 examples of AI/agentic systems you've built, and links to relevant code or live products.
