ATS Optimized Resume & LinkedIn Profile Expert

We are seeking an experienced Resume & LinkedIn Profile Writer to create high-quality, ATS-optimized resumes and LinkedIn profiles for mid-to-senior-level technology professionals targeting the U.S. job market. The ideal candidate has exceptional written English and a strong understanding of the technology industry, including role and title hierarchies, career progression, technical terminology, and hiring expectations across FAANG/Big Tech, established technology companies, and startups. Most clients are looking SWE, Product, TPM, Data roles from mid-senior-director level. Responsibilities Review client questionnaires, existing resumes, LinkedIn profiles, and other background information to develop a clear understanding of each client's experience, accomplishments, and career goals. Create a comprehensive "master resume" that clearly communicates the client's experience, impact, technical expertise, leadership, and accomplishments. Write concise, compelling, achievement-oriented bullet points that emphasize business impact, scope, metrics, ownership, and results rather than simply listing responsibilities. Optimize resumes for Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) while maintaining natural, persuasive writing for human recruiters and hiring managers. Understand and appropriately position candidates across technical and business functions, including software engineering, product management, data/AI, cybersecurity, cloud/infrastructure, technical program management, sales, marketing, operations, and leadership roles. Research unfamiliar technologies, companies, roles, and industry terminology when necessary rather than relying solely on information provided by the client. Perform complete LinkedIn profile makeovers, including headlines, About sections, experience descriptions, skills, and keyword optimization designed to improve recruiter search visibility and generate inbound opportunities. Ensure resumes and LinkedIn profiles are aligned while adapting the writing appropriately for each platform. Communicate with clients asynchronously through email to gather additional information, answer questions, and complete revisions until the client is satisfied. Follow established templates, writing standards, processes, and quality guidelines while maintaining an individualized voice for each client. Manage multiple client projects simultaneously while meeting agreed-upon turnaround times. What We're Looking For Exceptional written English with the ability to produce polished, natural writing appropriate for U.S.-based professionals and recruiters. Strong knowledge of U.S. resume conventions and hiring practices. Demonstrated understanding of the technology job market and the differences between roles, seniority levels, and career tracks. Ability to take incomplete, unstructured, or overly technical client information and turn it into clear, compelling career narratives. Strong attention to detail, including grammar, consistency, dates, formatting, and factual accuracy. Ability to identify where additional information or metrics would strengthen a resume and ask clients effective follow-up questions. Understanding of ATS optimization, keyword strategy, and LinkedIn recruiter search optimization. Comfortable working independently in a fully remote, asynchronous environment. Reliable communication and ability to incorporate client feedback without sacrificing writing quality. Important This role does not require phone or video calls with clients. Client communication and revisions are handled primarily through email, making excellent written communication especially important. Candidates may be located anywhere. Experience writing for professionals pursuing roles in the United States is strongly preferred.
