AWS Terraform Platform Engineer (Databricks experience) - 1 Yr contract

*** YOU MUST SUBMIT YOUR RESUME IN MS WORD FORMAT TO BE CONSIDERED*** Our client is seeking a senior AWS Terraform Platform Engineer for a long-term enterprise engagement supporting the design, automation, and deployment of Databricks and cloud platforms on AWS. This is a hands-on platform engineering role. We are specifically looking for someone with strong Terraform and AWS infrastructure expertise who has also deployed and automated Databricks environments. Experience with Snowflake platform deployment and automation is a strong plus, but not required. ENGAGEMENT DETAILS * Start: Mid-October 2026 * Duration: 12 months, with potential extension * Workload: 40 hours per week * Location: 100% remote * Preferred location: Chennai, India * Working hours: Must be able to work primarily US business hours (EST), Mon through Fri * Client environment: Large enterprise / Data & AI practice WHAT YOU WILL DO * Build and maintain reusable Terraform modules and Infrastructure as Code frameworks for AWS and Databricks. * Automate provisioning of enterprise cloud environments across development, test, staging, and production. * Design and configure AWS infrastructure including VPCs, IAM, KMS, Secrets Manager, private connectivity, CloudTrail, monitoring, and security controls. * Deploy and automate Databricks on AWS, including: -- Workspaces -- Unity Catalog -- Cluster Policies -- Service Principals -- Networking and private connectivity -- Workspace security * Support Snowflake platform automation and deployment where applicable, including: * Build CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure deployment using GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, GitLab, Jenkins, or similar tools. * Implement DevSecOps, automated policy enforcement, governance, security, and compliance controls. * Troubleshoot cloud infrastructure, networking, authentication, and platform integration issues. * Work directly with architects, security teams, data engineering teams, and enterprise stakeholders. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE * 7+ years of overall Cloud, Platform, Infrastructure, or DevOps Engineering experience. * 5+ years of hands-on Terraform experience. * 5+ years of hands-on AWS infrastructure engineering. * Strong AWS networking, IAM, KMS, Secrets Manager, CloudTrail, security, and monitoring experience. * 2+ years of hands-on Databricks on AWS platform deployment and administration. * Experience automating Databricks infrastructure using Terraform. * Hands-on experience with Unity Catalog, workspace provisioning, networking, security, and service principals. * 3+ years of CI/CD and DevOps experience. * Python, Bash, or PowerShell scripting experience. * Enterprise security, DevSecOps, compliance, and governance experience. * Strong English communication skills and the ability to work directly with enterprise clients.
