Accessibility/VPAT compliance Expert

We’re seeking an experienced Accessibility/VPAT Specialist to assess our newly developed EdTech platform for accessibility compliance and help us prepare a Voluntary Product Accessibility Template (VPAT) for our clients. Scope of work: Conduct a comprehensive accessibility assessment of the web-based platform. Evaluate against applicable WCAG 2.1/2.2 and Section 508 requirements, as appropriate for higher education. Perform manual and automated accessibility testing, including keyboard navigation, screen-reader compatibility, forms, navigation, multimedia, color/contrast, and other relevant areas. Identify and document accessibility issues, severity, and recommended remediation. Produce a professional VPAT/ACR (Accessibility Conformance Report) based on the assessment. Clearly distinguish between requirements the platform currently meets, partially meets, and does not meet. Provide practical recommendations for remediation and, if needed, guidance to our development team. Ideal candidate: Demonstrated experience conducting accessibility audits for SaaS, EdTech, or higher-education platforms. Strong knowledge of WCAG, Section 508, and VPAT/ACR documentation. Experience using tools such as Axe, WAVE, Lighthouse, NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver, or equivalent. Able to independently test a product and produce a client-ready compliance report. Experience working with universities or educational technology is a strong plus. Deliverables: Accessibility assessment findings, prioritized remediation recommendations, and a completed VPAT/ACR suitable for submission to a university client.
