Accountant / Sr. Accountant

RR Finance & Operations is a growing boutique finance and accounting firm providing outsourced accounting, Fractional CFO, FP&A, financial reporting, and strategic finance services to small and midsize businesses. We are looking for a highly organized, detail-oriented Accountant / Senior Accountant to join our growing team and support multiple clients across different industries, including fashion, consumer brands, professional services, and nonprofits. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with multiple businesses, understands accounting beyond basic bookkeeping, and wants to be part of a growing, collaborative finance team. This person needs to be available during the week 9-5pm New York hours. Responsibilities • Manage day-to-day accounting activities for multiple clients • Maintain accurate books and records in QuickBooks Online and/or QuickBooks Desktop • Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations • Prepare and review monthly financial statements, including: - Profit & Loss - Balance Sheet - Cash Flow - General Ledger - Trial Balance • Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable • Prepare and maintain AR aging reports • Record and review journal entries and accruals • Assist with month-end and year-end close • Reconcile balance sheet accounts • Support inventory accounting and Cost of Goods Sold calculations • Assist with payroll and payroll-related accounting • Prepare financial information and schedules for CPAs and tax filings • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis • Identify accounting discrepancies and proactively resolve issues • Help improve accounting processes, systems, and internal controls • Communicate with clients professionally and follow up on outstanding information • Maintain organized documentation and client files • Support the Controllers and Fractional CFO team with financial reporting and analysis as needed
