Accountant / Bookkeeper – Multiple Businesses We are looking for an experienced Accountant / Bookkeeper to manage the finances of three separate businesses and work directly with the owner. This is a long-term position for one individual who will personally handle our accounts and serve as our sole point of contact. We are not looking for an agency or firm where our accounts are passed between multiple team members. Responsibilities - Manage bookkeeping for three separate businesses - Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records - Handle bank and credit card reconciliations - Properly categorize income, expenses, transfers, and distributions - Maintain P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow reporting - Identify discrepancies or unusual financial activity - Keep records organized and prepared for tax filing - Assist with year-end accounting and tax preparation - E-file business tax returns, if qualified - Meet with the owner monthly to review financial performance Monthly Financial Review We want someone who can go beyond bookkeeping and help us understand the financial health of each business. Monthly meetings should cover: - Revenue, expenses, and profitability trends - Cash flow and margins - Significant month-over-month or year-over-year changes - Unusual expenses or potential concerns - Opportunities to improve financial efficiency You should be able to explain the numbers clearly and provide useful financial insight without unnecessary accounting jargon. Ideal Candidate - Strong bookkeeping and accounting experience - Experience managing multiple businesses or entities - Proficiency with QuickBooks Online or similar accounting software - Strong understanding of financial statements, reconciliations, and general ledger accounting - Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive - Comfortable working independently - CPA, EA, or relevant accounting credentials are a plus - Business tax preparation and e-filing experience is strongly preferred To Apply Please include: - A brief overview of your accounting and bookkeeping experience - Experience managing multiple businesses - Accounting platforms you use - Whether you prepare and e-file business tax returns - Your availability for monthly financial review meetings We are looking for a reliable, long-term accounting partner who can keep our books organized while helping us better understand the financial performance of each business.
