Accountant for Construction & Residential Projects / Jobtread

We are a luxury residential design-build firm based in Irvine, California, specializing in high-end custom homes, renovations, and residential construction projects. We are currently seeking an experienced Construction Accountant with a strong background in the construction industry to support our growing team. The ideal candidate understands construction accounting workflows, job costing, project budgets, vendor coordination, and financial tracking for active projects. We need someone who understands construction accounting, not just general bookkeeping. Responsibilities: -Construction bookkeeping and accounting -Track project costs, expenses, bills, and payments -Review and organize invoices -Track subcontractor/vendor payments -Assist with job costing and project budgets -Reconcile accounts and transactions -Help maintain accurate financial records -Review project budgets vs. actual costs -Work with JobTread and accounting software -Help organize and track company bills -Prepare reports for management -Identify discrepancies or missing information -Coordinate with the internal team regarding invoices and payments Ideal Candidate: -Experience in construction accounting/bookkeeping -Familiar with job costing and construction budgets -Experience with JobTread is a strong plus -Quick, organized, and detail-oriented -Able to independently review financial information and identify issues -Good communication skills -Experience working remotely with U.S. companies preferred To Apply, Please provide: *Your construction accounting experience *Accounting software you have used *Whether you have experience with JobTread *Examples of construction companies/projects you've supported *Your hourly rate *Your availability *2–3 professional references
