Accounts Payable Specialist

We are looking for an experienced, detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team on a remote basis. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience managing high-volume AP operations, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. --- **Responsibilities:** • Manage full-cycle Accounts Payable by processing high-volume AP transactions while maintaining accurate coding, expense accounts, department, fund, and proper approvals; resolving invoice discrepancies with vendors, ensuring correct expense allocation. Enter journal entries, download vendor invoices from vendor websites, and record AP cash disbursements in Sellercloud. • Maintain detailed financial tracking and reporting by creating spreadsheets, monitoring department budgets, analyzing spending against allocations, and organizing receipts and documentation to strengthen budgeting visibility and audit support. • Ensure timely financial operations by managing recurring payments using Excel and Outlook Calendar, overseeing credit card transactions, wire transfers, ACH, and check inquiries, and preparing documentation to support audits and compliance requirements. --- **Requirements:** • Proven experience in a full-cycle Accounts Payable role • Proficiency in Sellercloud or similar accounting/ERP platforms, as well as Quickbooks experience (proficiency a plus) • Strong Excel skills (spreadsheet creation, budget tracking, reporting) • Familiarity with journal entries, ACH, wire transfers, and check processing • Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage high transaction volumes • Strong communication skills for vendor correspondence and discrepancy resolution • Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment --- **Nice to Have:** • Experience supporting audits and compliance documentation • Familiarity with multi-department or fund-based accounting • Experience with Outlook Calendar for payment scheduling --- **Engagement Details:** To apply, please share your relevant AP experience, any tools/software you've used, and your availability.
