Acoustic Session Guitarist for Folk / Southwestern Production

I am looking for an experienced acoustic session guitarist for a singer-songwriter project with a Southwestern / borderlands character. The underlying style is acoustic Americana / folk-rock, with an organic, spacious feel. I am not looking for generic “Latin guitar,” flamenco, mariachi-style playing, or commercial country guitar. A useful reference point would be the atmospheric Southwestern side of artists such as Calexico: open textures, tasteful rhythmic playing, melodic responses, suspended/open-string colors where appropriate, and an understanding of when to leave space. I will provide an instrumental reference track that has the old rhythm guitar so you can hear the existing song and general stylistic direction. The final arrangement and chord chart will be provided to the selected guitarist. Requirements: * Excellent acoustic guitar technique and professional remote recording capability * Ability to accurately follow a chord chart with standard chords, occasional extensions and slash chords. * Strong stylistic understanding of Southwestern / borderlands / Americana acoustic music * Must own and be able to professionally record both steel-string and nylon-string acoustic guitar * Ability to deliver clean, high-quality WAV files * Good musical judgment and ability to play to an existing arrangement and fixed song form The recording will involve two separate passes: 1. A complete rhythm/accompaniment pass, providing a strong but tasteful acoustic foundation. 2. A separate fills/embellishment pass containing melodic responses, small hooks, connective figures, occasional soloistic ideas, and genre-appropriate textures. This should be intentionally spacious rather than continuous lead playing, as I will edit and place the material around the vocal and choir. The song is approximately five minutes long. Please include 2–3 examples of your own acoustic guitar recording that are genuinely relevant to this style. Please do not send a general showreel if the examples are not stylistically related.
