Afghan Dari/Farsi Language Teacher & Curriculum Developer (Full-Time, Remote)

HOURS: 30-40 HOURS/WEEK SALARY: $500-750/mo We are a gamified language learning app built for diaspora communities. We help second- and third-generation heritage speakers reconnect with their roots through the languages their families speak — starting with the languages the big platforms have ignored. We launched in March 2026 and are growing fast, and we're now building live instruction into the product for the first time. This is a founding-teacher role. You won't be plugging into an existing program — you'll help build it. The Role We're hiring a full-time Dari teacher to lead live instruction on our platform. You'll help design our Dari curriculum from the ground up and teach weekly group classes to students across skill levels — many of whom grew up hearing Dari at home but never learned to speak, read, or write it confidently. Your week will be split between two things: Teaching (live group classes) Host weekly group video classes for students at multiple levels, from absolute beginners to conversational heritage speakers Create a warm, encouraging environment — many of our students carry real emotional weight about not speaking their family's language, and a great teacher meets that with patience, not pressure Gather feedback from students and use it to improve classes over time Curriculum Development Build a structured Dari curriculum aligned with our app's lesson content: unit plans, lesson objectives, speaking exercises, and assessments Design materials specifically for heritage learners — students who may understand spoken Dari but can't read the script, or who mix Dari with English at home Collaborate with our team to keep live classes and in-app lessons reinforcing each other Help define what our group class experience looks like as we scale to more cohorts and levels MUST HAVE: Great internet connection Video camera ON for classes at all times Quiet environment to host classes online
