AI Agent Engineer | Python, Data & MCP

All communication before a contract is started must remain on Upwork. --- We are looking for a Freelance AI Agent Engineer to join Adomik’s Tech team on a long-term, full-time engagement. You will help build the AI agents and MCP integrations that allow our clients to query their advertising performance and monetization data in natural language. This is a hands-on production role focused on Python, backend engineering, data and applied AI. You will work closely with our Tech team, Product, Data Engineers and Data Scientists. You will be expected to take features from design to production. At Adomik, you ship features, not tickets. ABOUT US Adomik is the agentic AI platform for advertising performance and monetization. WHAT YOU WILL DO - Build and evolve AI agents and MCP tools on top of Adomik’s advertising data platform. - Develop Python backend services and REST APIs. - Connect data processing, analytical algorithms and applied statistics to production features. - Work on use cases such as revenue analysis, anomaly detection and explanations of revenue variations. - Design reliable pipelines where numerical computations are deterministic and language models handle language-related tasks. - Work with Snowflake and AWS services, including AWS Bedrock. - Deliver features end to end, from data stored in Snowflake to production-ready agents and product features. - Improve performance and reliability through asynchronous programming, caching and sound engineering practices. - Contribute to testing, code reviews, CI/CD, automation and technical documentation. - Collaborate closely with Tech, Product, Data Engineering and Data Science teams. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE - At least 3 years of professional experience with Python. - Strong SQL skills and experience writing complex analytical queries. - Experience building backend applications or REST APIs. - Experience with data processing, analytics or statistical methods. - Experience with Git, testing, code reviews and modern software development practices. - Ability to work independently and deliver production-ready features. - Strong communication skills and a pragmatic approach to problem solving. - Technical English. - Full-time availability during the team’s working hours described below. Experience with MCP and LLM agents is a strong plus, but not mandatory. Candidates with a strong Python and data background who are motivated to learn MCP are welcome. French is preferred but not required. NICE TO HAVE - Experience with MCP, FastMCP, Claude, OpenAI function calling or similar technologies. - Experience with Snowflake, Snowflake Cortex, SPCS or machine learning services. - Experience with AWS Bedrock. - Experience with time-series analysis, anomaly detection or metric decomposition. - Experience in AdTech, including SSPs, DSPs, header bidding or programmatic deals. - Experience with Ruby on Rails. - Experience with LangGraph or similar agent orchestration frameworks. - Knowledge of OAuth 2.0, JWT or application security. ENGAGEMENT DETAILS - Long-term freelance engagement. - Full-time, approximately 40 hours per week. - 100% remote. - Start date: ASAP. - The role is part of Adomik’s Tech team.
