Summary

Altium Schematic Capture and PCB Layout Support We are looking for an experienced hardware design contractor to support a variety of electronics development projects. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in Altium Designer and able to assist with schematic capture, PCB layout, component placement, routing, design rule checks, and preparation of manufacturing outputs. Project work may include new board designs, updates to existing designs, schematic cleanup, layout revisions, component replacements, and preparing files for fabrication and assembly. The work will vary by project, so we are looking for someone who can be flexible, detail-oriented, and comfortable working from engineering direction, requirements, reference designs, datasheets, and existing design files. Responsibilities may include: Creating and editing schematics in Altium Designer Performing PCB placement and routing Reviewing designs for manufacturability and assembly considerations Applying layout best practices for power, grounding, signal integrity, and EMI where applicable Creating or updating symbols, footprints, and component library items Generating fabrication and assembly outputs, including Gerbers, drill files, pick-and-place files, BOMs, and PDFs Communicating clearly about progress, questions, design concerns, and tradeoffs Required experience: Hands-on experience with Altium Designer Ability to create clear, well-organized schematics PCB layout experience, including routing multi-layer boards Familiarity with PCB manufacturing and assembly requirements Ability to read datasheets and apply recommended layout guidance Attention to detail and good communication skills Experience with embedded systems, microcontrollers, power supplies, analog circuits, RF, high-speed interfaces, or design-for-manufacturing is a plus. Ideally, the candidate will have their own Altium Designer license, but this is not a strict requirement. Please include examples of previous PCB design work, describe your experience with Altium, and note whether you have access to your own Altium license.
