Amazon KDP Marketing for Children's Picture Book Launch — Flat Fee, Itemized Quotes Only
Worldwide
I'm launching a 28-page color children's picture book (ages 4–7), based on a true story, about a child overcoming fear after a scary experience with a dog. (Title and full details shared with shortlisted candidates.) Launching August 2026 on KDP: print + ebook. Important constraint: the ebook is distributed WIDE — it will NOT be enrolled in KDP Select. Plan around that, or make your case if you disagree. THE GOAL Amazon category best seller status in well-chosen children's niche categories, strong verified review velocity, and sustained sales — measured over a 90-day engagement (pre-launch → launch week → 60-day sustain). SCOPE — QUOTE ON EXACTLY THIS 1. Listing optimization: keyword research for the 7 KDP slots, title/subtitle field strategy, description (HTML formatted), category selection incl. requesting additional niche categories through KDP 2. Bestseller strategy: realistic category targeting, launch pricing strategy for print + ebook, launch-week orchestration plan 3. 100% Amazon TOS compliant (ARC/reader-team approach welcome; see hard rules) 4. A+ Content / Author Central recommendations 5. Weekly reporting: rank, sales, reviews, ad performance, next actions YOUR QUOTE MUST INCLUDE (quotes missing any of these will be declined) • One FLAT FEE, itemized by deliverable and milestone (pre-launch / launch week / 60-day sustain) • A separate, clearly labeled list of EVERY third-party or extra cost you anticipate: ad spend, promo site fees, ARC platform fees, tools — with estimated dollar amounts for each. If it isn't on this list, I won't be paying for it later. • What is explicitly NOT included • Timeline with milestones • 2–3 case studies of children's books or comparable KDP titles you've launched, with actual results (category ranks achieved, review counts, sales ranges) • Your category/bestseller strategy for a book in this niche in 3–5 sentences — show me you understand the space TO APPLY, ANSWER: 1. What category strategy would you run for a children's picture book in this niche, and why? 2. What's the single biggest mistake authors make in launch week? 3. Paste your itemized flat-fee quote with third-party costs broken out. I respond fast to complete, itemized proposals. Template pitches get archived.
