Amazon Launch Specialist, A+ Content & PPC
Worldwide
We are a US-based digital marketing agency looking for an experienced Amazon specialist to launch and scale a topical wellness brand on Amazon. The brand is currently DTC on Shopify with an active subscription model, paid social running, and an email and SMS program in place. Amazon is a new channel and we need someone who has taken a health and wellness brand from zero listings to a profitable, functioning presence. The product line serves two distinct audiences: human consumers and pet and equestrian owners. These are treated as separate audiences with separate messaging, and the Amazon strategy should reflect that. What you would be walking into The category is compliance-sensitive. Topical wellness copy that works on our own site can trigger listing suppression, category gating, or ASIN takedown on Amazon. We need someone who knows where the lines are and has recovered listings that crossed them. We are launching from zero. No reviews, no ranking history, no sales velocity. The honeymoon window matters and we want someone who plans around it deliberately rather than treating launch like steady state management. Subscription is core to the brand economics, and margin at the entry price point is tight. Subscribe and Save and fulfillment method both need to be modeled against real numbers, not defaulted. We also have a large library of existing UGC and paid social creative that should be adapted into A plus content and listing imagery rather than rebuilt from scratch. Scope of work Account setup and access Create and fully configure Seller Central from scratch, including tax, banking, and category approval Complete Brand Registry and GTIN or UPC assignment Link the account to our agency through Seller Central user permissions and Amazon Ads access, with clean role assignment so the client retains ownership Recommend FBA versus FBM with cost modeling, then configure shipping templates accordingly Listings and creative Keyword research and full listing builds for both product tracks, including titles, bullets, descriptions, and backend search terms Build A plus content yourself or direct our design team with clear module specs, moving to Premium A plus once eligible Build and maintain a Brand Store with separate human and pet navigation Brief listing imagery and video, adapting existing creative where possible Route all listing copy through our compliance review before publishing. Nothing goes live without client sign off on claims Launch and ranking Build a launch plan that makes real use of the honeymoon period, including velocity targets, keyword prioritization, and opening-weeks pricing Enroll in Amazon Vine and manage review acquisition alongside it Track organic rank movement on priority keywords from day one Advertising Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands, and Sponsored Display, including campaign architecture, bid management, search term harvesting, and negative keyword hygiene Sponsored TV or DSP experience is a plus as the account grows Coordinate Amazon spend against our existing Meta and TikTok activity so we are not bidding against ourselves Promotions Recommend and configure the full toolkit where it fits: coupons, Prime Exclusive Discounts, Lightning Deals and Best Deals, Buy One Get One, Subscribe and Save discount tiers, Brand Tailored Promotions, and Amazon Live if relevant Model each promotion against margin before running it. We want a promotional calendar, not one-off discounting Reporting Weekly reporting on spend, ACOS, TACOS, sessions, unit session percentage, organic rank movement, and Subscribe and Save subscriber growth Requirements 3 or more years managing Seller Central accounts with a documented record of scaling a health and wellness brand Experience in health, supplement, personal care, or another restricted category A plus content builds you can show us Clear understanding of the honeymoon period and how to structure a launch around it Vine enrollment and management experience Experience creating Seller Central accounts from scratch and linking them to agency access Strong Amazon Ads background with campaign structures you can walk us through Subscribe and Save configuration experience Listing suppression and reinstatement experience Comfortable working white-label under an agency, communicating in Slack, and reporting to an account lead At least four hours of daily overlap with US Pacific time Nice to have: pet or equestrian category experience, Helium 10 or Jungle Scout, Amazon Ads certification, DSP experience. Screening questions Share two health or wellness brands you launched or scaled on Amazon. Include category, timeline, and where revenue landed. Link to A plus content you built or directed. How do you structure a launch to make the most of the honeymoon period? Be specific. Describe a listing suppression or compliance issue you handled and how you resolved it. Which promotional levers would you pull in the first 90 days, and in what order? Your rate and weekly availability. We read every application. Generic proposals that do not answer the questions above will be skipped. Upwork field settings I would use Field Setting Category Sales & Marketing → Marketplace Management Skills Amazon Seller Central, Amazon Listing Optimization, Amazon PPC, Amazon FBA, A+ Content, Amazon Advertising, Product Listings, PPC Campaign Setup & Management Project type Ongoing project Experience level Expert Contract Hourly, or fixed for the launch build with an ongoing hourly contract for management Screening questions Use questions 1 through 6 above in the Upwork questions field rather than the description body Two things still open on your end: the rate range and whether you want the launch build as a separate fixed-price contract. Splitting it filters harder for people who will commit to the ramp instead of just taking the retainer. what would be the categories I need to add in? Navigated Upwork's category hierarchy for optimal job posting placement Navigated Upwork's category hierarchy for optimal job posting placement Upwork asks for one category plus a subcategory, then up to 10 skill tags. The skill tags do most of the actual matching work, so that is where to spend the effort. Category Primary: Sales & Marketing → Digital Marketing → Ecommerce Marketing That is the cleanest fit since the bulk of the scope is PPC, promotions, listing optimization, and growth. Upwork's taxonomy shifts, so if you see an Amazon-specific or Marketplace Management option in the picker, take that instead. Backup if the picker pushes you elsewhere: Admin Support → Ecommerce Management. Use this only if you want to weight toward operational setup over advertising. I would not, since ads and promotions are half the job.
