Android Mobile Application Developer

Android/Flutter Developer – Mobile App Enhancement & Maintenance (EXP Field Hub) We are looking for a skilled Flutter developer to enhance and maintain a field-facing mobile application used by mentors across Uganda. The app is live and actively used by field teams for GPS-based location tracking and report submissions. You will be joining at an exciting stage: the app has recently been rolled out and we are now iterating based on real user feedback. This is a full-time, 6-month engagement based in Kampala, Uganda, with occasional in-office hours or field visits as needed. You will work closely with our internal development team, so collaboration and clear communication are just as important as technical skill. What you will be working on: - Enhancing and maintaining GPS-based report submission flows - Improving app stability, performance, and user experience - Building and iterating on features based on feedback from field teams - Testing across Android versions to ensure reliability in field conditions What we are looking for: - Proven Flutter development experience - Solid understanding of GPS and location-based services - Comfort working within a mature, existing codebase - Familiarity with Python-based backends and REST APIs - Based in Kampala, Uganda - Someone who communicates proactively, takes ownership, and builds things that work reliably for real users If this sounds like the kind of work you enjoy, we would love to hear from you.
