# 2D Animator / Video Editor for Animated History YouTube Channel (Long-Term) We're looking for a talented **2D animator/video editor** to join our growing animated history YouTube channel on a long-term basis. Our videos are story-driven animated documentaries covering some of history's most fascinating events. We're looking for someone who can bring history to life with engaging animation, strong visual storytelling, and excellent pacing. ## What You'll Be Doing * Create 2D animated scenes for 8–15 minute YouTube videos. * Animate simple stickman-style characters and historical environments. * Add camera movement, visual effects, transitions, and motion graphics where appropriate. * Edit the final video into an engaging documentary that keeps viewers watching. * Work closely with our scripts and voice-over to create a compelling final product. ## Animation Style We're looking for animation similar to these channels: * Serious History: https://www.youtube.com/@SeriousHistory * Probably Fine: https://www.youtube.com/@ProbablyFineHistory * Historically: https://www.youtube.com/@HeyHistorically **Please only apply if you can produce work at or near this level of quality.** ## Requirements * Strong experience with 2D animation. * Excellent storytelling through visuals. * Good understanding of pacing and viewer retention. * Ability to meet deadlines consistently. * Fluent written English for communication. * Comfortable working on long-form YouTube content. ## Required When Applying Your application **must include:** 1. A portfolio or showreel. 2. At least **2–3 examples** of animated videos you've worked on. 3. Your estimated turnaround time for a 10-minute animated video.
