2D/2.5D Animator for Vertical Story Shorts — After Effects Parallax

We're a faceless YouTube channel launching a new vertical Shorts brand. We're looking for a 2D/2.5D animator to become our recurring animation partner. Reference channels — this is exactly the look we want: youtube.com/@WhyGuyStories youtube.com/@FG-the-explainer youtube.com/@HoodieGuyStories What you'll do: You receive a script, a voiceover, reference images and a style guide. You deliver a finished 45–70 second Short in 1080x1920, project files included. The style, concretely: - A recurring 2D vector narrator (thick outlines, oversized eyes) composited onto realistic/AI-generated environments. - Simple mouth-shape swaps synced to the VO, pupil jitters, blinks, paper-doll limb rotation, subtle idle motion. - Backgrounds split into 3+ layers with a slow camera push-in and true parallax offset; fog, smoke or ember overlays on static plates. - 2D cutout props popping in with bounce scale, landing on the exact word in the VO. - A visual change every 1.5–2.5 seconds. Hard cuts by default, zoom blur only on location changes. - Bold white captions with stroke, word-by-word pop-in, color highlights on keywords. - Full sound design: SFX on props, whoosh on transitions, music bed. Requirements: - Fluent in After Effects (Photoshop and Illustrator a plus). - Real parallax / 2.5D work in your portfolio — not template captions over stock footage. - Ability to rig a character once and keep it consistent across dozens of videos. - Reliable English communication and consistent deadlines. The deal: $60–100 per Short depending on complexity and turnaround. If it works, 4–8 Shorts per month, scaling up as the channel grows.
