Ansys FEA Specialist – Localized Stress Analysis for Steel Cable Racks

Summary

Scope We are executing a structural verification and strengthening project for industrial steel cable racks. While global analysis is handled in STAAD Pro , we require an Ansys FEA expert to perform localized stress analysis on critical joints, highly stressed members, and proposed reinforcement geometries (e.g., sister angles and cover plates). Global forces and proposed strengthening details will be provided. Deliverables Ansys Simulation Files: Clean, parameterized FEA model files. FEA Engineering Report (PDF): Documenting geometry, mesh, boundary conditions, and stress/strain/displacement plots. Pass/Fail Local Verification: Clear engineering comments and optimization recommendations. High-Resolution Markup: Screenshots showing peak stress concentrations and localized node values. Requirements Advanced proficiency in Ansys Mechanical for structural steel and localized connection modeling. Strong understanding of AISC 360-16 / ASCE 7 design codes. Experience analyzing local stress concentrations, contact formulations, and welded/bolted interfaces. Ability to translate global member forces into accurate localized FEA boundary conditions. Budget & Timeline Job Type: Fixed-Price (Small paid test package to start). Timeline: 2-3 days.
