Australian Products App — MVP Developer Brief Project I am creating an Australian-focused mobile app that helps Australians identify Australian-made, Australian-owned and Australian-grown products when shopping. The app should encourage Australians to support Australian businesses and keep more money circulating within the Australian economy. Main goal A customer should be able to scan a product barcode and quickly understand whether the product is: Australian made Australian owned Australian grown Australian produced Not Australian Unknown / insufficient information The app should also suggest Australian alternatives where appropriate. MVP Features 1. Barcode Scanner The customer opens the scanner and scans a product barcode. The app searches the product database and displays: Product name Brand Australian made status Australian owned status Australian grown status Australian produced status Explanation/source of the information Australian alternative products where available If the barcode is not recognised, the app should display a clear "Product not yet in our database" message and provide an option to submit the product. 2. Product Search Users can search for products by: Product name Brand Category Example: "Australian shampoo" "Aussie dog food" "Australian chocolate" 3. Aussie Biz Swap If a scanned product is not Australian, the app should suggest Australian alternatives.
