AI Application Developer

Role Title Full-Stack / Platform Engineer (AI & GCP, AWS) Location: Remote / Hybrid (All USA hours.) Type: We are looking for 30-40 hours per week. About Us We are an AI-first startup building enterprise-grade applications. Our core product is complete and actively in beta with enterprise customers. While we move fast, we hold strict standards for engineering excellence, rigorous SDLC, automated testing, and peer review. We leverage AI heavily across our workflow and expect our team to push the boundaries of modern AI-assisted engineering. What You'll Do Scale for Enterprise: Architect, deploy, and scale resilient systems on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to support our growing enterprise beta cohort. We are in the final phases of putting down problems. AI & Private Model Integration: Implement and optimize workflows using state-of-the-art LLMs, fine-tuned private models, and secure data pipelines. Build with Rigor: Maintain high code quality through strict unit/integration testing, CI/CD automation, and rigorous peer code reviews. We have a development methodology that we view as very successful to our success. Architect & Pressure Test: Rapidly formulate technical solutions, lead architecture reviews with the core team, and execute implementation without friction. AI-First Development: Leverage AI coding assistants and automation to accelerate delivery while keeping system reliability high. What We’re Looking For 5+ years of generalist software development experience, with a proven track record scaling web/enterprise applications. GCP & DevOps: Hands-on expertise with GCP services (Vertex AI, Cloud Run, GKE, BigQuery, IAM) and CI/CD pipelines (Terraform, GitHub Actions, Docker). Testing Discipline: Obsession with testing—unit testing, end-to-end testing, and automated test pipelines are second nature to you. LLM & Private Model Expertise: Deep understanding of transformer architectures, embeddings, RAG, prompt engineering, and self-hosted/private model deployments (e.g., vLLM, SGLang, Llama.cpp.) Big bonus if you are a Linux guru. Collaborative Mindset: Strong communication skills to pitch architectural decisions, take direct feedback during peer reviews, and adapt quickly.
