Appointment Setter for Custom Websites, Software, and Business Automation
Worldwide
This is a seven day paid trial for lead generation and appointment setting for a custom website, software, and business automation service. Business focus: We help service businesses improve how they attract customers, request estimates, schedule appointments, follow up with leads, and manage repetitive administrative work. Potential solutions include: • Professional business websites • Online quote and estimate requests • Appointment scheduling systems • Lead tracking and follow-up automation • Customer and employee portals • Internal dashboards and administrative tools • Business process automation • Integrations between existing software systems • Custom web and mobile applications Initial target industries: • Landscaping companies • Contractors and home-repair businesses • Cleaning companies • Beauty/Barber Shops • Restaurants/Food Services • Auto-detailing and body shops • Other established service businesses The freelancer’s role: The freelancer will research qualified prospects, identify observable business problems, conduct personalized outreach, ask basic qualification questions, follow up professionally, and schedule discovery calls. The freelancer is not responsible for designing or selling the technical solution. I will handle technical discovery, demonstrations, solution design, pricing, proposals, contracts, development, and delivery. Trial deliverables: Review the service overview, prospect criteria, demonstrations, pricing guidance, and outreach scripts. Research qualified service businesses in the United States. Complete 25 personalized outreach attempts during the seven-day trial. Attempt to reach an owner, manager, or other decision maker. Ask permission to discuss possible improvements to the prospect’s lead, estimate, scheduling, or administrative process. Ask the approved qualification questions when a prospect is willing to talk. Schedule discovery calls with qualified and interested prospects. Record every prospect and outreach attempt in the shared tracker. Submit the completed tracker through Upwork at the end of the trial. Each tracker entry must include: • Business name • City and state • Industry • Website and current online presence • Contact information • Owner or decision-maker name, when available • Specific problem or opportunity observed • Date and method of contact • Outreach message or call result • Answers to qualification questions • Follow-up date • Appointment date, when applicable • Relevant notes Qualification questions: How do new customers currently request estimates or appointments? Are inquiries managed through phone calls, texts, email, social media, or spreadsheets? Is there repetitive administrative work the business would like to reduce? Are leads ever missed because someone cannot respond immediately? Who would approve a website, software, or automation project? Would the owner or decision maker be open to a 20 minute discovery call? Prospect requirements. A qualified prospect must: • Appear to be actively operating • Offer a service with meaningful customer value • Have valid contact information • Have an identifiable website, lead-management, scheduling, quoting, or administrative problem • Be located in the United States • Not already appear in the shared tracker • Not be an existing or previous customer Outreach requirements: • Personalize every message or call using a real observation. • Contact prospects only during reasonable hours in their local time zone. • Do not use mass spam, automated calling, purchased email blasts, or misleading claims. • Do not claim that a prospect commissioned or approved a demonstration. • Do not promise a price, feature, result, discount, or completion date. • Do not represent yourself as the developer or business owner. • Do not collect passwords, financial information, private customer data, or system access. • Keep all prospect and customer information confidential. • Keep important communication and deliverables documented through Upwork. • Obtain approval before changing the outreach message, pricing, or target market. Trial payment: • $50 for completing all trial deliverables professionally. • A sale is not required to receive the $50 trial payment. • The milestone will be approved after the completed tracker and outreach records are reviewed. Sales commission: • The freelancer will receive 15% of initial project revenue actually collected from a customer originating from their documented outreach. • The minimum commission for a qualifying completed sale is $200. • Commission is earned only after the customer signs an agreement and their first non-refundable payment clears. • Commission applies only to the initial project unless recurring commission is separately approved in writing. • No commission is earned on canceled, refunded, fraudulent, duplicate, existing, or previously contacted opportunities. • The prospect must be entered in the shared tracker before contacting or hiring me. • Commission will be paid through an Upwork bonus or an agreed additional milestone. • Additional outreach milestones may be offered if the trial is successful. Trial success will be evaluated based on: • Prospect quality • Research accuracy • Personalization • Professional communication • Complete tracking• Qualification quality • Appropriate follow-up • Discovery calls scheduled Approved Pricing Guidance When a prospect asks about price before agreeing to a discovery call, the freelancer may provide the following preliminary ranges: • Simple professional website: $1,200 to $2,500 • Website with booking, estimate requests, ordering, or similar features: $2,500 to $5,000 • Business automation or internal tool: $3,000 to $10,000 • Custom web or mobile application: starting around $7,500 • Ongoing support and maintenance: quoted separately These ranges are preliminary and do not constitute a proposal or final quote. The freelancer must explain that final pricing depends on the customer’s requirements and will be determined after technical discovery. The freelancer may not: • Promise that a project will fall at the lowest end of a range • Provide a final quote • Negotiate or offer discounts • Change the approved pricing ranges • Promise a delivery date • Promise that a requested feature is included • Collect payment from a customer After sharing the appropriate range, the freelancer should ask: “Does that range sound realistic for your business?” If the prospect says yes, the freelancer should schedule a discovery call. If the prospect says no, the freelancer should respectfully ask what budget they had in mind and record the answer in the tracker. The freelancer should not negotiate. The purpose of the trial is to determine whether we work well together before beginning a longer term sales partnership.
