Arabic Dialect Classification Task

We need a native or near-native speaker of Emirati Arabic to listen to 50 short audio samples (5–15 seconds each) and classify the dialect in each one. For every clip, choose one of four labels: - Emirati - Other Gulf (Kuwaiti, Qatari, Bahraini, Saudi Gulf coast, Omani, etc.) - Other non-Gulf Arabic (Egyptian, Levantine, Maghrebi, Iraqi, MSA, etc.) - Non-Arabic We're specifically interested in whether a sample is Emirati or belongs to another Gulf country — we're not asking you to name the exact country for non-Emirati Gulf clips. Deliverable: a spreadsheet with one row per clip: label, confidence (high / medium / low), and an optional short note on what drove your judgment (lexical items, phonetic features, etc.). Requirements: Native or near-native command of Emirati Arabic, with substantial exposure to other Gulf varieties Comfortable flagging genuine uncertainty rather than guessing Estimated effort: less than 1 hour. In your proposal, please answer: Where did you grow up / where have you lived in the Gulf, and which non-Emirati Gulf dialects are you most familiar with?
