BI Architect for AI-First BI Platform

We are looking for an experienced BI Architect to design and implement the foundation of a new, AI-first Business Intelligence platform. This is a hands-on architecture and implementation project. You will work closely with our junior BI Specialist to define the target architecture, establish the right data structures and development standards, and build the first working version of the platform. The goal is not to create a one-off dashboard, but to leave us with a scalable, maintainable foundation that our internal team can continue to develop. We already have an existing BI environment with a range of reports and dashboards in Tableau, including operational dashboards and reporting on churn and revenue. These reports contain valuable business knowledge and should not simply be discarded. As part of the project, we want to use them as a functional reference and recreate the relevant reporting capabilities for the new platform in a recognisable form. Where appropriate, reports may be improved, consolidated or redesigned. The new platform and its data foundation will be built from scratch. Our source data is distributed across operational systems such as MariaDB and MongoDB, event-sourced applications, and third-party platforms such as Google Analytics and Zendesk. We intend to use Fivetran for managed ingestion where appropriate, Snowflake as the central data warehouse, and dbt for transformation, testing, documentation and business data modelling.
