Architect wanted for prefab Australian residential portable homes - QLD

Paradise Portable Homes manufactures prefabricated homes and granny flats for customers throughout Queensland, Australia. We are seeking an experienced Philippines-based architectural or building drafter for ongoing work producing and revising detailed working drawing sets. This is a long-term opportunity for someone reliable, accurate and highly responsive. Applicants must be available during Philippine daytime hours, with substantial overlap with Queensland business hours (AEST). Key Requirements You must have: Demonstrated experience preparing Australian residential working drawings Strong knowledge of the National Construction Code (NCC) and Queensland requirements for Class 1a buildings Familiarity with the ABCB Livable Housing Design Standard, including step-free entry, door clearances and thresholds, wet-area requirements, wall noggings and accessible sanitary provisions An understanding of Bushfire Attack Level (BAL) requirements and their impact on construction details and material specifications Excellent CAD skills and the ability to produce accurate, construction-ready drawings Availability during the majority of Queensland business hours Capacity to complete most revisions within 24–48 hours Strong written English and clear communication Excellent attention to detail and document control Scope of Work Producing complete working drawing sets for our standard home models Updating standard plans to incorporate job-specific floor-plan and electrical changes Preparing floor plans, elevations, sections and construction details Preparing electrical and lighting plans Creating door and window schedules Preparing frame set-out and chassis drawings Updating site plans using supplied survey, contour and fall information Applying relevant NCC, Queensland, Livable Housing and BAL requirements Completing revisions promptly as projects progress through building approval Maintaining consistency across our standardised drawing library Preferred Experience Highly regarded but not essential: Previous drafting experience for Australian prefab, modular or transportable homes Experience with granny flats and small Class 1a dwellings Experience preparing documentation for private building certifiers in Queensland Understanding of lightweight steel or timber framing and transportable-home chassis systems Contract Details Remote contract position Applicants must be located in the Philippines Ongoing and regular work for the right person Working hours must substantially overlap with Queensland, Australia (AEST / UTC+10) Please state your preferred hourly rate or fixed rate per drawing set
