Architectural Designer / Revit Modeler for Ambitious Neo-Bauhaus Project

Architectural Designer / Revit Modeler for Ambitious Neo-Bauhaus Project I’m developing a major creative studio project in Houston. We’re going big with it. The direction is neo-Bauhaus—drawing from Mondrian, Sander Patelski, mid-century modernism, geometric abstraction, and strong relationships between architecture, color, furniture, lighting, and art. I’ll be developing the vision with Amor, a Colombian expert in Bauhaus and mid-century design. We need someone who can take our ideas and turn them into real architectural work quickly. I’m not looking for another creative director. I’m looking for a skilled, dependable architectural worker who can function as the bridge between our concepts and the people who will eventually build the project. What You’ll Do You’ll take our sketches, reference images, marked-up plans, conversations, and sometimes rough ideas and turn them into: * Space-planning options * Revit models * Dimensioned floor plans * Interior and exterior elevations * Building sections * Ceiling and lighting plans * Axonometric and bird’s-eye views * Furniture and equipment layouts * Material and finish studies * Preliminary millwork drawings * Fast design renderings * Selected photorealistic renderings You should be able to explore several options, take feedback without ego, revise quickly, and keep the drawings coordinated as the design changes. A Texas-licensed architect and local engineers will ultimately handle code compliance, permitting, engineering, and sealed construction documents. Your job is to help us develop the concept into a clear, organized, dimensionally coherent architectural package they can work from. What I’m Looking For You should have: * Strong Revit skills * Real architectural drafting and modeling experience * The ability to produce plans, elevations, sections, and details—not just pretty images * Good space-planning and architectural judgment * Experience with interiors, lighting, materials, furniture, and millwork * Enscape, D5 Render, Twinmotion, or similar rendering experience * Clear written and spoken English * Fast turnaround and reliable communication * The ability to work from imperfect information and ask smart questions * Experience supporting US architectural projects is strongly preferred AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Adobe Creative Suite, 3ds Max, Corona, and V-Ray are all useful, but Revit is the core requirement. A Direct Note About AI I know what AI-generated architectural work looks like. Do not send me invented projects, AI-generated portfolio images, or work that you did not personally produce. Do not give me beautiful images that have no coherent plan, dimensions, sections, or buildable geometry behind them. AI imagery is not a substitute for architectural skill. If you use an AI-assisted tool for a limited purpose, disclose it. Undisclosed AI work, fabricated experience, or someone else’s work presented as your own will end the relationship immediately. I’m looking for someone who can actually sit down and work: model, draw, revise, solve problems, organize files, and explain their decisions. Shortlisted candidates will complete a paid test and may be asked to work live in Revit over screen share. If you know your software and your portfolio is genuinely yours, this should be straightforward. How to Apply Keep it simple. Please send: * One or two relevant projects * A quick explanation of what you personally did on them * Your hourly rate and general availability Ideally, your examples will show both architectural drawings and renderings, but don’t overcomplicate the application. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to a paid test and a live Revit interview. That is where we’ll get into the technical details and see how we work together. Start your application with the words COORDINATED MODEL so I know you read the posting. This project is bold, serious, and meant to become something special. I want someone hardworking, technically sharp, visually intelligent, and excited to help turn a strong idea into a real building.
