Art déco style - card game illustration - NO AI

Hello! I am looking for a game artist that would be able to create card illustrations for a video game made in Unity. In this game, players embody gangsters from a fictional version of 1930's American mobsters in which a wonder-material has been discovered, which is liquid purple. There are 120 cards to illustrate and their repartition is as follow : - 1/4 are character portraits - 1/4 are common places and building you can find in a city such as a library, bank or cityhall - 1/4 are stylized objects relevant of this era and theme -1/4 are scenes based on conceptual phrases such as "got you!" or "over my dead body" for instance. These 4 types of cards have distinct mechanical implication in the game and thus, there must be 4 adapted template for the player to be able to distinguish visually through the 4 types. In addition to card type, there are 4 cards rarity. Lore-wise there are several gangster family which all have a theme/specialty that embody gameplay mechanics and a play style. 1. Corporate deep-state crooks (think of secret societies or government agencies like CIA or Illuminati) 2. Religious zealots who believe the new wonder material is the one true god 3. Working class syndicate of gangsters, organized to protect the interests of the common folk 4. Ex-military turned private militia working for hire, part-time as hitman, part-time as cabaret workers We intend to distinguish those factions through color schemes and classical art deco pattern as means of showing belonging to one of those factions. Some artworks already exist and will be shared as references to insure a cohesive art style. All these details are meant to give you an idea of the theme and style of we are going for, however they are more suggestions rather than absolute rules. As the artist in charge of card's illustrations you obviously have space for suggestions, ideas and changes that could be made to improve the arts direction cohesion overall. Your opinion and experience matters and we are not control freaks, this work is meant to be a creative collaboration. We are a small indie developpement team with limited budget, hence the listed price-range. However, this budget is negociable and rather than a fixed price, we could also envision an hourly rate contract. Before going through with the whole batch of 120 cards, we'd like to make test round with 4 cards (one of each type, rarity and faction) to discuss the details, vision and workflow. This test round is not free and you are welcome to share what you believe to be a fair price. We believe in paying fairly for any work done. This project is meant for a game that will be published on steam so we need a commercial use licence and you will obviously be credited with the name or pseudonym of your choice. Considering the wide variety of assets shown in the illustrations we are open to have several artist working on different parts of this project. For instance, a fashion designer's work is welcome for the characters portraits. If you have more experience with props design you could work solely on the stylized objects. Feel free to offer you services for only a part of this job if your experience is relevant. If this collaboration goes well, there will be some other work to do that we will gladly discuss with you. We do not want AI-made artwork. Any portoflio involving AI will not be considered for this job offer. Previous experience with Art Déco is greatly appreciated.
