AI Automation Engineer – Build End-to-End AI Agents & Autonomous Workflows

I’m looking for an experienced AI Automation Engineer who can help me identify, design, and build AI-powered systems that take repetitive, multi-step work completely off the table not simply automate one or two steps of a process. I’m particularly interested in someone who thinks in terms of systems, business logic, AI agents, orchestration, and end-to-end workflows, rather than simply connecting a few apps together. The goal is simple: Find processes that currently require people to repeatedly remember, check, copy, analyse, communicate, approve, compile, or follow up and build reliable systems that can handle as much of that process autonomously as possible. I’m looking for someone who can look at a messy manual process and say: “Here is what should be automated, here is where AI adds value, here is where human oversight is actually necessary, and here is how I would build the system.” The kind of expertise I'm looking for Ideally, you have hands-on experience with: AI agents and autonomous workflows Multi-agent systems Claude/Anthropic and OpenAI APIs MCP servers and tool integrations n8n, Make, Zapier and/or custom Python automation RAG pipelines and LLM integrations LangChain / LangGraph Vector databases such as Pinecone, Qdrant or ChromaDB API integrations, webhooks and third-party systems Python / FastAPI / Node.js PostgreSQL or MongoDB Workflow orchestration and error handling Building production-ready systems rather than prototypes Experience with CrewAI, AutoGen, MCP, agent orchestration, document processing, research automation, approval workflows, reporting automation, lead qualification, CRM automation, or operational systems would be particularly valuable. What I need from you I don't expect you to simply execute a predetermined technical specification. I want you to help me think through the automation opportunity itself. You should be able to: Understand the existing business process. Identify bottlenecks and repetitive work. Determine what should be automated and what should remain human-controlled. Recommend the appropriate AI/automation architecture. Build the workflow/agent system. Integrate it with the relevant tools and data. Test it against real-world scenarios. Build in appropriate safeguards, escalation and human oversight. Document the system clearly. Leave behind something reliable and maintainable not a demo that stops working after handoff.
