AI Automation Engineer — n8n/Make, Slack, Notion, Dialpad and Follow Up Boss

I’m looking for an experienced AI automation engineer to help build a practical internal operations system for a real estate team. The system will connect Slack, Notion, Dialpad, Gmail, Google Calendar, Claude and Follow Up Boss using n8n or Make. n8n is preferred, but I’m open to Make if you can explain why it is the better choice. This is not a chatbot or basic Zapier project. I need someone who understands APIs, webhooks, structured data, approval workflows, duplicate prevention and reliable error handling. Initial priorities: * Capture requests from my team leader across email, text, calls and notes * Identify assignments, deadlines, missing information and next actions * Create one organized task system in Notion * Track real estate transactions, deadlines and blockers * Post summaries, alerts and draft replies in Slack * Allow me to review, revise and approve actions through Slack * Summarize Dialpad calls and associate them with the correct contact * Prevent duplicate tasks, messages and CRM records * Keep unconfirmed transaction information separate from verified facts * Create morning and evening priority briefings Later phases may include: * Context-aware Gmail and Dialpad reply drafting * Follow Up Boss updates * PLAUD and Google Drive note intake * More advanced transaction-stage tracking * Claude-assisted document and deliverable creation * Controlled browser automation when an API cannot perform an action Required experience: * n8n or Make * REST APIs and webhooks * Slack apps or interactive Slack messages * Notion databases and API * Gmail and Google Calendar integrations * Claude, OpenAI or another LLM API * CRM integrations * JSON and basic JavaScript * Error logging, retries and duplicate prevention * Secure management of API keys and credentials Experience with Follow Up Boss, Dialpad or real estate workflows is strongly preferred but not required if you have strong general API experience. The project will begin with a paid 10-hour test. Test workflow: 1. Receive a sample completed-call event. 2. retrieve or accept the call transcript. 3. Generate a structured summary and action items. 4. Match the caller with a Notion contact. 5. Post the summary in Slack for review. 6. Save the communication in Notion. 7. Prevent the same event from creating duplicate records. 8. Log any workflow failure. 9. Provide basic documentation. The initial test is capped at 10 hours and $250. If the test is successful, I plan to continue building the system in controlled phases.
