AI Automation & Project Management Engineer

We are looking for a highly organized, technically strong AI Automation & Project Management Engineer who can help us streamline operations, manage technology projects, and build AI-powered workflows and integrations across our business. This is a hands-on role. You will not just create project plans—you will be expected to understand business processes, identify opportunities for automation, design solutions, integrate systems through APIs, and take projects from idea through production. We are looking for someone who can operate independently, move quickly, communicate clearly, and turn loosely defined business requirements into working solutions. What You’ll Do AI Integrations & Automation * Design and implement AI-powered business workflows and automations. * Build integrations between SaaS platforms using APIs, webhooks, and automation tools. * Create workflows using tools such as n8n, Make, Zapier, or similar platforms. * Integrate LLMs such as OpenAI/ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, or other AI models into internal workflows. * Build AI agents and automated workflows for sales, marketing, recruiting, operations, reporting, and customer support. * Work with REST APIs, JSON, authentication, OAuth, and webhooks. * Automate repetitive internal processes and eliminate unnecessary manual work. * Build error handling, monitoring, notifications, and logging into automations. * Evaluate new AI tools and recommend where they can create measurable business value. Project Management & Delivery * Own projects from requirements gathering through implementation and launch. * Convert business requirements into clear tasks, milestones, and technical specifications. * Coordinate developers, consultants, sales, marketing, and other stakeholders. * Manage projects using tools such as Jira, Confluence, Slack, Notion, or similar platforms. * Maintain project timelines, priorities, dependencies, documentation, and status updates. * Identify blockers early and proactively drive them to resolution. * Run follow-ups and ensure action items are completed. * Create SOPs and documentation for implemented processes and automations. * Help establish scalable project-management and operational processes as the organization grows. Example Projects You may work on projects such as: * Automating lead intake, enrichment, qualification, and CRM updates. * Connecting CRM, email, Slack, project-management, and sales platforms. * Building AI agents that research companies or prospects and generate personalized outreach. * Automatically generating meeting summaries, follow-up tasks, and CRM updates. * Creating automated project-status reporting and executive dashboards. * Building internal knowledge assistants using company documentation. * Automating recruiting and candidate-screening workflows. * Creating AI-assisted sales and marketing workflows. * Connecting platforms that do not have native integrations through REST APIs and webhooks. * Automating operational processes across multiple teams. Required Experience You should have strong experience with several of the following: * n8n, Make, Zapier, Workato, or similar automation platforms * OpenAI API / ChatGPT API * LLM integrations and prompt engineering * AI agents and agentic workflows * REST APIs * Webhooks * JSON * OAuth / API authentication * JavaScript, Python, or another scripting language * Jira / Confluence * Slack integrations * CRM integrations * Project management * Business-process automation * Technical documentation Experience with platforms such as Salesforce, HubSpot, Zoho, Apollo, ZoomInfo, Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, GitHub, AWS, or other enterprise SaaS platforms is a plus. What Success Looks Like Within the first few months, we expect this person to: * Understand our major internal workflows. * Identify high-value automation opportunities. * Deliver multiple production-ready AI automations. * Improve visibility and accountability across active projects. * Reduce manual operational work. * Establish documentation and repeatable processes. * Become someone we can give a business problem to and trust to drive it through completion. Engagement This will begin as a freelance/contract engagement with the potential to become a **long-term, ongoing position** for the right person.
