Azure DevOps / Cloud Security Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Azure DevOps / Cloud Security Engineer to support an established SaaS platform running in Microsoft Azure. Initial Responsibilities Learn and document the existing Azure architecture and deployment process Work alongside our current DevOps engineer Troubleshoot production incidents, outages, and infrastructure issues Support staging and production deployments Review monitoring, alerting, logging, and infrastructure health Review Azure access controls, roles, permissions, service accounts, and privileged access Identify security risks and configuration weaknesses Recommend and implement practical Azure security hardening Review backup, recovery, and business-continuity procedures Improve operational and security documentation Security & Reliability Work As you become familiar with the platform, the role may expand into: Azure security hardening Disaster recovery planning and testing Vulnerability assessment and remediation IAM / RBAC and privileged-access reviews Azure networking and perimeter-security reviews Key Vault, secrets, certificates, and credential management Security monitoring and incident-response improvements Penetration-test finding remediation Security documentation and architecture diagrams Support for customer and third-party security reviews Compliance and certification preparation Public-sector customer security requirements SOC 2, CSA STAR, or similar security/compliance initiatives Strong hands-on experience with several of the following: Microsoft Azure production environments Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipelines Microsoft Entra ID / Azure AD Azure RBAC and identity/access management Azure Key Vault and secrets management Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Application Insights, or similar monitoring tools Azure networking, NSGs, firewalls, private endpoints, and related security controls Backup, disaster recovery, and restore testing Infrastructure as Code such as Terraform, Bicep, or ARM Containers / Docker / Kubernetes or AKS where applicable Production incident troubleshooting and root-cause analysis Cloud security hardening and vulnerability remediation What Success Looks Like We want someone who can first understand what we already have, identify the areas that genuinely create production and security risk. The right person should be comfortable both investigating a production problem and explaining clearly what happened, why it happened, and what should be changed to prevent it from happening again. Engagement This will begin as a focused engagement to review the existing environment, support the current DevOps engineer, and identify the highest-priority reliability and security improvements.
