# B2B Lead Researcher Needed — Verified Ohio Automobile Dealership Database ## Paid 50-Dealer Test With Larger Statewide Project for the Right Person We are an established Ohio automotive technology company looking for an experienced **B2B lead researcher / data enrichment specialist** to help us rebuild and expand our dealership prospect database. This is **not** a generic lead-generation project. We already know the market we want. Your job is to help us build the most accurate possible database of **active Ohio automobile dealerships and the right current people inside those dealerships**. ## Important: This Is a Paid Test Run The first assignment will cover **50 specific Ohio automobile dealerships**. We are using this project to determine whether you are the right person for a much larger assignment. If your work meets our quality standards, we expect to expand quickly to: **Phase 2:** Approximately 500 dealerships **Phase 3:** The complete Ohio automobile dealership universe **Phase 4:** Potential ongoing database maintenance and enrichment The full project could ultimately involve **1,000–2,500+ verified dealership contacts**, depending on the final number of active rooftops and relevant people identified. For the right researcher, this can become a significantly larger engagement. --- # What We Are Trying to Build We do **not** want: * A generic automotive list * Thousands of random emails * A purchased database dump * Old employees * Unverified guessed emails * Salespeople added simply to increase volume We want a clean **account-based dealership database**. Each dealership should be treated as a company/account. Under each dealership, we want the **best 2–3 current people** who are most likely to influence dealership operations, accounting, titling, registration, or purchasing decisions. --- # Initial 50-Dealership Assignment We will provide you with a spreadsheet containing the 50 dealership accounts. For every dealership, you must: 1. Confirm the dealership is currently active. 2. Confirm the correct dealership name and location. 3. Confirm the website. 4. Identify whether it belongs to a larger dealer group. 5. Confirm franchise / independent status. 6. Identify the brands represented. 7. Find the best current decision-makers. 8. Confirm those people still work at the dealership. 9. Find their business email addresses. 10. Independently verify those emails. 11. Document the source and verification method. If a dealership has been sold, renamed, merged, closed, or absorbed into another group, flag it clearly. Do not silently replace it with another dealership. --- # Priority Contacts ## Tier 1 — Highest Priority * Dealer Principal * Owner * General Manager * Controller * CFO ## Tier 2 * Office Manager * Title Manager * Title Clerk * Accounting Manager * Registration / Titling Operations * Other operational decision-maker directly connected to title or registration workflow For larger dealership groups, also look for centralized: * Accounting leadership * Title / registration leadership * Corporate operations * Controller / CFO * compliance or administrative leadership when appropriate. --- # Do Not Pad the Database We are not paying based on how many rows you can produce. Generally do **not** include: * Sales consultants * BDC reps * Service advisors * Mechanics * Technicians * Receptionists * unrelated marketing employees * vendors * former employees unless there is a specific, documented reason that person is relevant. If a dealership only has two strong contacts, give us two. **Two excellent contacts are better than five mediocre ones.** --- # Required Dealership Fields For every account: * Dealership name * Dealer group, if applicable * Website * Street address * City * County * State * ZIP * Main phone * Franchise / independent * Brands represented * Active dealership confirmation * Source used to verify dealership status --- # Required Contact Fields For every person: * First name * Last name * Current job title * Verified business email * Direct phone, if available * LinkedIn URL, if available * Source used to confirm current employment * Email research source * Email verification tool * Verification result * Verification date * Confidence / notes where needed --- # Verification Requirements Every email must be independently verified. We prefer researchers who already have access to professional tools such as: * LinkedIn Sales Navigator * Apollo * ZoomInfo * UpLead * Hunter * RocketReach * Lusha * NeverBounce * ZeroBounce * comparable professional B2B research and verification platforms Please tell us exactly which tools you currently have access to. Having database access alone is not enough. We are hiring you for: **Research accuracy + current employment verification + email verification + judgment.** --- # Email Quality Rules Do not: * Present guessed emails as verified * Present catch-all emails as equivalent to confirmed deliverable emails * Fabricate identities * Use stale employees * Hide uncertainty * submit duplicate contacts * submit generic purchased-list data * scrape and dump without validation If an email cannot be confidently verified, mark it clearly: **NEEDS REVIEW** If it is a catch-all domain result, mark: **CATCH-ALL** Do not guess to make the spreadsheet look complete. --- # Tools and Research Judgment Matter We will spot-check your work manually. We may verify: * whether the dealership is active * whether the person still works there * whether the title is correct * whether the email is valid * whether the person actually fits the target role * whether the dealership belongs to a larger group * whether the same decision-maker covers multiple rooftops We expect you to flag unusual situations rather than force the data into the wrong structure. --- # What Success Looks Like For the 50-dealership test, we are aiming for: * 98%+ dealership accuracy * 95%+ relevant contacts * 95%+ currently employed contacts * 95%+ verified deliverable emails * Very low duplicate rate * No fabricated records * Clear source transparency * Excellent judgment around dealership groups and centralized roles The test will be scored. If the work passes, we expect to move quickly into the larger assignment. --- # Project Structure ## Phase 1 — Paid Test **50 dealerships** Expected output: Approximately **100–150 high-quality contacts**, depending on what is legitimately available. Budget: **$125 fixed price** Expected completion: Approximately **3–5 days** --- ## Phase 2 — Expansion If Phase 1 passes: Approximately **500 dealerships** Expected contacts: Approximately **1,000–1,500 qualified contacts** Budget will be negotiated based on the successful pilot and actual dealership/contact volume. --- ## Phase 3 — Statewide Build Potentially the complete Ohio automobile dealership universe. Expected final statewide project budget: Approximately **$600–$1,000+**, depending on final account count, contact depth, data completeness, and verification quality. We may approve more for exceptional work that includes: * excellent direct-phone coverage * strong LinkedIn sourcing * dealer-group research * centralized decision-maker identification * high verification quality * minimal manual cleanup required on our side --- # Potential Ongoing Work If the statewide project goes well, we may also retain the researcher periodically to: * Refresh old contacts * Replace employees who leave * Add new dealerships * Track dealer acquisitions * Maintain current titles * Reverify emails * Enrich missing records * support additional automotive prospect research We are interested in finding **one strong long-term research partner**, not repeatedly hiring new freelancers. --- # To Apply Start your proposal with: **OHIO DEALER DATA** Then answer these questions directly: 1. Which paid lead-research databases do you currently have access to? 2. Which email-verification tools do you use? 3. How do you confirm someone still works at a company? 4. How do you handle catch-all domains? 5. What percentage of the business emails you normally deliver are verified deliverable? 6. Have you worked on dealership, automotive, or location-based account research before? 7. How would you approach finding the best 2–3 contacts at a dealership? 8. Can you complete the 50-dealership paid test within 3–5 days? 9. If the test is successful, are you available to immediately expand into a 500+ dealership project? Please provide a small anonymized example of similar B2B research work if possible. --- # Important Do not send a generic proposal. Do not tell us how many thousands of leads you can provide. That is not what we are buying. We are looking for someone who understands the difference between: **a large email list** and **a trusted sales database.** This first 50-dealership assignment is the test. If you prove you are the right person, **the project gets much bigger.**
