B2B Outbound Sales Representative – Industrial Safety & Training
Worldwide
Pyrosoft is small Fire Extinguisher Simulator company, selling professional, hands on, fire-extinguisher training simulators. pyrosoftinc.com We sell exclusively business-to-business. Our systems are used by organizations that need a practical, repeatable way to train employees, students, instructors, or other personnel in fire-extinguisher use. Our potential customers include industrial facilities, manufacturers, training providers, educational institutions, healthcare organizations, municipalities, public agencies, utilities, and other employers with formal workplace-safety or emergency-preparedness programs. The Opportunity We are looking for an experienced B2B Outbound Sales Representative to conduct an initial paid pilot of approximately 10 hours per week for two weeks. The purpose of the pilot is to determine whether carefully targeted outbound calling can become an effective way for Pyrosoft to reach new customers. This is not a traditional call-centre position, and we are not looking for someone whose only selling point is the ability to make hundreds of calls per day. We want someone who can: Speak professionally with business decision-makers. Quickly understand a specialized B2B product. Ask thoughtful questions about an organization's current training process. Explain Pyrosoft clearly without relying on an overly rigid script. Recognize genuine interest and buying potential. Create qualified opportunities for follow-up by Pyrosoft. Provide useful feedback about what prospects are saying. What You Will Be Doing Pyrosoft can provide targeted prospect lists containing organizations and relevant job functions. You will not be expected to spend most of the pilot building lists from scratch. Your responsibilities will include: Calling targeted organizations and contacts. Identifying the person responsible for fire safety, workplace safety, emergency preparedness, or extinguisher training. Briefly introducing Pyrosoft and our fire-extinguisher training systems. Asking how the organization currently conducts extinguisher training. Determining whether there is a meaningful need or opportunity. Sending appropriate follow-up emails when required. Generating requests for information, follow-up discussions, meetings, or demonstrations. Recording simple notes about outcomes, objections, referrals, and next steps. Sharing observations about which industries, contacts, and messages appear most promising. The initial objective is qualified interest, not forcing an immediate sale. When a prospect wants technical details, pricing, a demonstration, or a deeper product discussion, the opportunity can be handed over to Pyrosoft. The Person We Are Looking For The right person will have experience with consultative B2B outreach and will be comfortable speaking with professional decision-makers. You should be: Professional, credible, and natural on the phone. Comfortable initiating conversations with people who were not expecting your call. Curious and able to ask good discovery questions. Able to listen rather than simply deliver a sales pitch. Comfortable working in a niche or technical market. Organized with follow-up and recordkeeping. Receptive to coaching and willing to adjust your approach. Honest about what is working and what is not. Comfortable working with a small business where lead quality matters more than inflated activity numbers. Excellent spoken and written English is important because the role involves representing Pyrosoft directly to prospective customers. Most prospects will be in Canada and the United States, so availability during North American business hours is required. Candidates located in Canada or the United States are preferred, although strong candidates elsewhere may still be considered. Preferred Experience Experience in one or more of the following areas is preferred, but not mandatory: Industrial or manufacturing sales. Workplace safety, occupational safety, or EHS/HSE. Fire protection, emergency preparedness, or safety training. Training equipment or professional education products. Facilities, operations, utilities, healthcare, or institutional markets. Technical products with longer B2B sales cycles. Appointment setting for specialized rather than mass-market services. Selling to safety managers, EHS/HSE managers, training managers, operations leaders, facilities managers, or similar decision-makers. Direct fire-safety simulator experience is not expected. A strong B2B salesperson who has successfully learned and represented other specialized products may be an excellent fit. What We Are Not Looking For This role is probably not a good fit if your experience is primarily: High-volume consumer telemarketing. Reading fixed scripts without meaningful conversation. Calling poorly targeted lists solely to reach a daily call quota. Selling low-cost products that normally close during the first call. Generating appointments without determining whether the prospect is relevant. Making exaggerated promises about guaranteed meetings or sales. We are looking for thoughtful, targeted outreach rather than activity for its own sake. Pilot Structure Duration: (test period to see conversions two weeks). After, we are open to a continuing role with more hours. Approximately 10 hours per week to start. Contract: Hourly Expected rate: Approximately $15–$30 USD per hour, depending on experience in B2B and industry sales. Primary method: Targeted telephone outreach with sensible email follow-upProspect lists: Pyrosoft can provide organizations and relevant contacts Primary outcome: Qualified conversations, information requests, meetings, demonstration interest, and useful market feedback We are deliberately not setting an arbitrary sales quota before the pilot begins because Pyrosoft does not yet have outbound-sales baseline data. The pilot will be evaluated based on: Whether the correct decision-makers are being reached. The quality of the conversations. The amount of genuine interest created. The quality of follow-up and notes. Requests for information, meetings, or demonstrations. The representative's judgment and market feedback. Communication and working fit with Pyrosoft. A large number of calls with no useful conversations will not be considered better than a smaller number of well-targeted, productive calls. Likewise, because this is a specialized B2B product, we do not expect every qualified opportunity to become a completed sale within two weeks. If the pilot shows promise and we work well together, there may be an opportunity for continued work.
