Barndominium Floor Plan Designer / Architect (Ongoing, Long-Term)

We have a company specializing in barndominium floor plan design. We have an active pipeline of ongoing projects and are looking for a skilled floor plan designer or architect to join our team long-term, replacing our previous designer who has recently moved on. You'll be producing complete, construction-ready barndominium floor plan document sets for U.S.-based clients. This is ongoing work - not a one-off project - for the right person. What You'll Be Working On Each project requires producing a full floor plan document package, including: - Detailed Floor Plan - Elevations - Electrical/Lighting Plan - Foundation Layout Plan - Pole Layout Plan - Roof Plan - Window, Door & Light Schedule - Underslab Plumbing Plan (when requested by the client) What We're Looking For - Proven experience designing residential floor plans; architects or licensed designers strongly preferred - Experience with barndominium, post-frame, or pole-barn construction is a big plus - Proficiency in CAD/design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Chief Architect, Revit, or SketchUp - let us know your preferred tools) - Strong understanding of construction documentation standards (dimensioning, schedules, notation conventions) - Ability to read and interpret client requirements/sketches and translate them into professional plan sets - Reliable communication and ability to meet deadlines consistently, since this is an ongoing production role - Portfolio of prior floor plan / elevation / construction document work (required) IMPORTANT: When applying, don't forget to type "dinggg!" at the start of your application so that we know you've read this description.
