Baseball & Softball Coaches Needed to Test New Coaching Software — Paid Feedback
Worldwide
We’re looking for experienced baseball and softball coaches to test a new software platform being built specifically to make a coach’s job easier. This is not a technical software-testing job. We want actual coaches. If you currently coach high school, college, travel/club, youth, or another competitive level of baseball or softball, we’d like you to use the platform as if you were preparing for your own team and then give us honest feedback. The goal is simple: Can technology save coaches time and help them make better decisions without adding more work? The software is designed to help coaches with areas such as: Practice planning and organization Building drills and practice schedules Player development Lineups and roster management Pitching and pitch-count management Opponent scouting Spray charts and tendencies Game planning Tryouts and player evaluation Organizing coaching information and workflows Saving time on repetitive coaching tasks What you'll do: You'll receive access to the software and a few specific coaching scenarios to work through. We want you to approach it like a coach — not a software tester. Try to accomplish tasks the same way you would during your normal week and tell us: What makes sense? What is confusing? What would you actually use? What would you never use? What takes too many clicks? What are we missing? What would make this more valuable to your staff? Would this actually save you time as a baseball or softball coach? We are particularly interested in coaches who currently use tools such as: Hudl, GameChanger, Blast Motion, Rapsodo, TrackMan, Pocket Radar, spreadsheets, practice-planning tools, scouting software, video analysis tools, or other baseball/softball technology. Experience with those products is helpful but not required. Ideal Candidate Current or recently active baseball or softball coach with hands-on experience in areas such as: Running practices Building lineups Player development Managing pitchers Scouting opponents Reviewing video Tracking statistics Managing a roster or coaching staff Please include in your application: Do you coach baseball or softball? What level do you currently coach or most recently coached? What is your role? (Head Coach, Assistant Coach, Pitching Coach, Hitting Coach, etc.) How many years have you coached? What software or technology do you currently use? What is the most time-consuming or frustrating part of your weekly coaching workflow? One important note: We're not looking for coaches to tell us everything is great. We want coaches who will be candid, point out what doesn't work, and help us build something that baseball and softball coaches would genuinely want to use. If you're the type of coach who has ever thought: “There has to be an easier way to do this.” We'd especially like to hear from you. There may also be opportunities for additional paid testing and ongoing advisory work as we continue developing the platform.
