Summary

Scriptwriter & Voiceover Artist (Remote, US-Based) — True Crime / Bodycam YouTube Channel Turn real bodycam footage into stories people can't stop watching. We're a fast-growing YouTube studio building a bodycam and police-footage channel in the true crime space — one of the most-watched categories on the platform. We're looking for one person who can do both halves of the job well: write the script and voice it. If you've ever watched a bodycam breakdown and thought "I could have told that story better" — this is your role. You'll own the voice of the channel: the pacing, the tension, the narration people hear in their headphones at 1 a.m. 100% remote. Flexible hours. Long-term contract, not a one-off gig. What You'll Do Write tight, hook-driven scripts (roughly 8–20 minutes of runtime) from real bodycam, dashcam, and police footage Research case files, incident reports, and news coverage to keep every script factually accurate Record clean, broadcast-quality voiceover narration from your own home setup Write scroll-stopping titles, hooks, and video descriptions that support click-through and retention Deliver drafts on a predictable weekly schedule and revise based on retention data and feedback Work directly with our video editors and channel manager to keep scripts and visuals in sync Bring ideas — flag cases and stories you think would perform well What We're Looking For Strong English writing with a natural storytelling instinct (narrative pacing, tension, payoff) A clear, engaging American English narration voice — this is a creative requirement of the channel's format A home recording setup that produces clean audio: decent USB or XLR mic, quiet room, no echo, no background noise Comfort with basic audio cleanup (Audacity, Adobe Audition, Descript, GarageBand — whatever you already use) Reliable internet, and the discipline to hit deadlines without someone checking in on you Based in the United States and legally authorized to work as an independent contractor Nice to have (not required — apply anyway): Experience with true crime, documentary, or long-form YouTube content Familiarity with YouTube retention metrics, hooks, and CTR Basic video editing or timeline experience No degree required. No agency required. If you can write and you can narrate, we want to hear you. Compensation & Schedule Long-term contract with monthly payment, paid on a set date every month Fully remote — work from anywhere in the US Flexible schedule: you choose your hours, we agree on weekly deliverables Paid time off built into the arrangement Performance-based raises as the channel grows — we scale pay with results, not tenure Why Work With Us Creative ownership. You're the voice of the channel, not a ghostwriter buried in a queue. Your name and reel grow with the channel. Real feedback loops. You'll see analytics on every video you write. You'll learn what actually holds an audience — a skill that pays for the rest of your career. We pay on time, every time. Ask any of our team. No micromanagement. Hit your deliverables and your calendar is yours. Room to grow. As our channel portfolio expands, so do the roles — lead writer, narrative director, and multi-channel work are all on the table. How to Apply: Message now to Apply! We review applications as they come in and reply to every qualified applicant within 5 business days. If you can write it and voice it, apply today — we're hiring immediately.
