US Based Security Engineer

Intexsoft is looking for an experienced, hands-on Security Engineer based in the United States to join us for a long-term opportunity and grow with our company. We are looking for someone who is more than just a compliance or policy-focused security professional. This role requires a strong technical background in network security, SIEM, SOC operations, threat detection, incident response, and security controls. As we continue to grow, we want to build a long-term relationship with a security professional who can help strengthen our internal security capabilities, improve our security posture, and contribute to the development of our security practice over time. What You'll Do Design, implement, and maintain network security controls across enterprise and cloud environments. Configure and manage security technologies, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, network access controls, and related security infrastructure. Build, maintain, and improve SIEM capabilities, including log onboarding, normalization, correlation rules, alerts, dashboards, and reporting. Work closely with SOC operations to investigate, triage, and respond to security alerts and incidents. Develop and improve detection rules and use cases to reduce false positives and improve threat visibility. Perform threat hunting and investigate suspicious network and system activity. Lead or support incident response activities, including investigation, containment, remediation, recovery, and post-incident analysis. Conduct vulnerability assessments and work with infrastructure and engineering teams on remediation and risk reduction. Implement and maintain security controls based on CIS Controls, CIS Benchmarks, and other applicable security frameworks. Help establish security baselines and hardening standards for servers, endpoints, network devices, cloud environments, and applications. Review network and system architectures to identify security weaknesses and recommend improvements. Integrate security monitoring across endpoints, servers, firewalls, network devices, cloud infrastructure, and applications. Improve centralized logging, monitoring, telemetry collection, and security visibility. Create and maintain incident response procedures, security runbooks, playbooks, and technical documentation. Collaborate with infrastructure, cloud, DevOps, and development teams to embed security into day-to-day engineering processes. Automate security monitoring, reporting, compliance checks, and repetitive security operations where possible. Help us continuously mature our security capabilities as Intexsoft grows.
