Bioinformatics / Computational Chemistry Instructor for Virtual Training

We are seeking an experienced computational chemistry, cheminformatics or bioinformatics specialist to serve as an expert reviewer and occasional technical facilitator for a short virtual programme in computational drug discovery and molecular docking. The programme lead will develop the curriculum, slides and practical materials. The freelancer will review, validate and improve the materials rather than create the course from scratch. Scope of work The selected expert will: Review training slides, protocols and practical exercises for scientific accuracy. Validate protein and ligand preparation workflows. Review molecular-docking and virtual-screening procedures. Check that demonstrations using AutoDock Vina, PyMOL, ChimeraX or related tools are reproducible. Identify technical errors, unsupported claims and areas requiring clarification. Recommend focused revisions using comments or Track Changes. Test selected input files, commands or workflows where necessary. Participate in brief review meetings with the programme lead. Potentially facilitate or co-facilitate selected live technical sessions. Required expertise Molecular docking and virtual screening Computational chemistry, cheminformatics or bioinformatics AutoDock Vina or comparable docking software Protein and ligand preparation PyMOL, ChimeraX or similar molecular-visualisation tools Drug-discovery databases such as PDB, PubChem and ChEMBL Strong spoken and written English Ability to explain technical issues clearly and constructively Experience with Python, RDKit, QSAR modelling or natural-product drug discovery is an advantage. Evidence of competence required Applicants must provide verifiable evidence of relevant expertise, including: Peer-reviewed publications directly related to molecular docking, virtual screening, computational chemistry or drug discovery ORCID, Google Scholar, Scopus, Web of Science or institutional research profile Clear evidence that the publications and profiles belong to the applicant Relevant academic qualifications Upwork identity verification Examples of previous technical reviews, training, teaching or related projects, where available Applications without verifiable evidence of subject-matter expertise may not be considered. Working arrangement Materials will be provided by the programme lead in advance. Reviews should be returned with clear comments, corrections and practical recommendations.
