We are looking for a sharp, detail-oriented Police Bodycam Footage Researcher to find high-quality, compelling, and publishable bodycam footage Your primary role will be identifying dramatic, accessible body camera footage of suspect apprehensions on scene, verifying case details, and filing public records requests (FOIA/Public Information Requests) when necessary. Key Responsibilities Source Footage: Scan public domain sources, police department portals, court records, news outlets, and FOIA releases for engaging bodycam footage. Verify Case Details: Research the background of each incident (suspect details, charges, location, official police reports, and trial/sentencing outcomes). Assess Quality & Compliance: Ensure footage meets YouTube guidelines (avoiding unmonetizable policy violations) and includes clear audio/visual elements. Submit Complete Packages: Deliver approved raw/high-res video files along with a concise case summary report (timeline of events, key quotes, and legal outcomes). Requirements Strong knowledge of US law enforcement procedures, public records laws. Familiarity with YouTube content guidelines (especially around sensitive content/monetization rules). Ability to work independently and locate hard-to-find public records quickly. Excellent written communication skills for summarizing case details accurately. Pay Structure $10.00 – $20.00 per approved footage package (Rate depends on the rarity, length, completeness of case background, and overall quality of the find).
