Book Prepress

I am looking for an experienced book prepress / print production specialist to prepare three visual piano method books for professional printing. These books are not primarily text-based. The interiors contain many shapes, colors, illustrations, visual notation elements, and carefully positioned graphics. The manuscripts were designed directly in Google Slides. Main challenge When exported directly from Google Slides, the current PDF page size is approximately 10 × 5.625 inches, while my intended final trim size is 12 × 9 inches, landscape. Because the exported PDF is flattened and is not easily editable, I am looking for someone with real print-production experience who can recommend the best solution. I can provide access to the original Google Slides files if needed. Before hiring, I would like you to explain how you would approach this project. For example: Would you work directly from the Google Slides files and resize/reposition the content there? Would you rebuild or adjust the pages in another professional layout program? How would you convert the current proportions to 12 × 9 without distorting the artwork or creating awkward margins? How would you handle bleed, safe areas, image resolution, and elements that are currently close to the page edges? I will choose the freelancer partly based on the proposed technical solution. Book interior / prepress work There are three books, each with fewer than approximately 90 pages. The final work should include: Preparing all three interiors for a final 12 × 9 inch landscape trim size Adjusting layouts as necessary rather than simply stretching the existing PDF Setting correct bleed and safe areas according to the printer’s specifications Checking page alignment and consistency Checking illustrations, shapes, colors, visual notation, and other graphic elements Checking image resolution and overall print quality Checking embedded fonts and PDF output settings Performing final preflight checks Delivering professional print-ready PDF files Sticker sheet I also need one kiss-cut sticker sheet design, which will be identical for all three books. The sheet will contain three sets of seven circular stickers. Each set follows this color sequence: Red – Orange – Yellow – Light Green – Dark Green – Purple – Magenta The sticker colors must visually match the colors used in my Google Slides as closely as possible. I already have the original RGB values. I will need you to determine the appropriate CMYK equivalents or closest printable CMYK matches, taking print production into consideration. The final sticker sheet should be prepared as a professional kiss-cut print-ready file, including the appropriate cut paths/dielines according to the printer’s specifications. ISBN barcodes I will also provide the ISBN numbers for Books A, B, and C. I need the ISBNs converted into proper book barcodes and incorporated into the final back-cover files according to standard print requirements. Covers My cover illustrator/designer will provide the final artwork for Books A, B, and C. Once I receive the printer’s final specifications, I may also need your help checking or preparing the final front cover, spine, and back cover files so they meet the printer’s production requirements.
