Book Proofreader / Beta Reader (Focus on Reader Engagement & Clarity) I'm looking for an experienced proofreader/beta reader for a non-fiction personal development book. My grammar and spelling are already in very good shape, so I'm not looking for a traditional copy editor. Instead, I want someone who can read from the perspective of a first-time reader and identify opportunities to make the book stronger. Specifically, I'd like feedback on: - Where the writing becomes less engaging or starts to drag. - Sections that feel too verbose or repetitive. - Places where an idea feels incomplete and needs more explanation or clarity. - Tangents or content that doesn't serve the main point of the chapter and should be cut. - Any confusing transitions, awkward flow, or moments where you lose interest.
