***ANYONE WHO CALLS, EMAILS, TEXTS, OR SENDS A WHAT'S APP MESSAGE WILL BE REPORTED TO UPWORK*** We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and dependable Part-Time Bookkeeper to support a growing group of related business entities and selected personal financial activities for the company founders. This is a hands-on role requiring strong accounting fundamentals, excellent Excel skills, sound judgment, and proactive communication. The ideal candidate will help maintain clear financial visibility through careful cash flow management, timely bill payment, accurate bookkeeping, and ongoing support for a variety of projects and initiatives. This position is well suited for someone who enjoys working in a dynamic environment, managing multiple priorities, and taking ownership of their work. Schedule * 20 hours per week * Monday through Friday * 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM Pacific Time * Availability during these hours is required Key Responsibilities * Manage bookkeeping activities for multiple business entities and selected personal accounts * Process and monitor Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable * Handle bill payment and maintain vendor records * Track daily cash flow and assist with cash flow planning and reporting * Maintain accurate and timely QuickBooks records * Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, loans, and other financial accounts * Perform weekly insurance compensation reconciliations and reporting * Monitor account balances and help ensure adequate liquidity across entities * Prepare spreadsheets, schedules, and reports for management * Assist with monthly and year-end financial processes * Identify discrepancies and proactively flag issues requiring attention * Coordinate closely with leadership regarding priorities, obligations, and financial updates * Support special projects, research assignments, and other administrative initiatives as needed Qualifications * Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role * Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks * Experience managing day-to-day cash flow and prioritizing payables * Advanced Excel proficiency, including formulas, pivot tables, and reconciliations * Experience supporting multiple companies, owners, or closely held businesses preferred * Insurance compensation reconciliation experience is a plus * Strong written and verbal communication skills * Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills * Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion * Self-motivated and comfortable working independently * Reliable and committed to meeting deadlines What We’re Looking For We value accuracy, responsiveness, initiative, and sound judgment. However, as the company and affiliated entities continue to grow, there is potential for the position to expand into a full-time opportunity. Accordingly, we are particularly interested in candidates seeking a long-term relationship and who would be open to transitioning to full-time employment in the future. We are looking for someone who wants to grow with the organization and become a trusted member of the team.
