Build a Custom Claude Reporting App

We are a building certification firm in Sydney. Our staff produce a standardised compliance report on site that assesses against the National Construction Code. We want an internal web app, accessible to about 5 staff, that captures the assessment through a structured form and generates the finished PDF. 1. Report list and creation Create, open, duplicate, archive. Server-side sequential reference numbers (format BCA.R-BCA260284) — two staff creating reports simultaneously must not collide. Search and filter by address, reference, date, status. 2. Assessment capture Form driven by the stored template. Each provision takes a status (four values, admin-editable), free-text comments, a recommendation, photo references, priority and a resolution flag. Running progress indicator. Must be genuinely usable on a tablet in the field — staff are standing in a subfloor holding a torch, not sitting at a desk. 3. Derived summary sections The report's summary tables and its "not applicable" schedule generate from the statuses entered — never typed twice. This eliminates our most common error, where the body of the report and the summary table disagree. Conditional text in the conclusion based on entered data (see prototype). 4. Photograph handling Upload from mobile camera, assign to a provision, caption, reorder. Client-side resize before upload (long edge ~1600px). Our current reports run 30–40MB, which is too large to email — output must be meaningfully smaller. Photos appear in the PDF grouped by provision, plus an auto-generated numbered register. 5. PDF generation Server-side. Must match our existing letterhead, typography and table styling closely — this is a client-facing professional document, not a data dump. Repeating header/footer with page numbers and report reference. A4. Browser print-to-PDF is not acceptable. Tell us which library you propose.
