# AI Engineer — Build a "Jarvis-Style" AI Assistant (VPS-Hosted, Security-First) ## Overview I'm looking for an experienced AI engineer to build and deploy a self-hosted, "Jarvis-style" AI assistant — a single agent (with specialist sub-agents as needed) that handles a range of tasks for me on command. It must run on a VPS, be always available, and remember context across sessions. **Security is a top priority.** ## What the assistant needs to do - **Stock research** — gather and summarize market information (prices, news, filings) for my watchlist to inform my own decisions. - **Send emails** — read, draft, and send emails on my behalf through my email account. - **Build websites and apps** — take a plain-language brief and produce fully functioning, deployable websites and applications, writing, running, and debugging the code itself. I'm open to additional capabilities and integrations you'd suggest. ## Technical requirements - **VPS deployment** — set up and running on a VPS (I can provide one, or you provision it), always-on, with persistent memory across sessions. - **Security is a high priority** — no hard-coded secrets, isolated and encrypted credentials, least-privilege access, guardrails and confirmation on sensitive actions (e.g., outbound emails or anything touching credentials or money), and a hardened server setup. Please describe your security approach in your proposal. - **Self-hostable and model-agnostic** — I must be able to switch model providers without a rewrite. - **Cost-aware** — tiered model usage and sensible limits so the monthly API bill stays predictable. Include an estimate of the expected monthly cost and what drives it. - **Agent-framework experience** — familiarity with modern frameworks (e.g., LangGraph, CrewAI, AutoGen, OpenClaw, Hermes Agent, or similar). Tell me what you'd use and why. ## Deliverables - The assistant deployed and running on the VPS, with setup and maintenance documentation. - Integrations configured: email, a market-data source for research, and deployment for the sites/apps it builds. - A short security write-up covering how credentials, access, and the server are protected. - A short cost note: expected monthly API cost and the levers to control it. - A handover walkthrough so I can operate and maintain the system. ## Please include in your proposal 1.
