Business Analyst Interview Preparation

Summary

I have an interview for a Business Analyst position next week. There are going to be scenario based questions asked to me. I would like to have 4 sessions that are 1 hour and 15 minutes long between Monday-Thursday next week. Before we meet each day, I need you to have 3 scenarios loaded for that day. The scenarios should be rooted in the processes of the Department of Motor Vehicles. People go to the DMV to do things such as renew their license, transfer there license to another state, etc. I need you to create scenarios that then ask me to do BA related things related to my approach. For example, Molly used to live in Nevada, she now lives in California. She goes to the DMV to transfer her license to California. She brings her passport, insurance information, Nevada license, and proof of residence. But it turns out her insurance and drivers license are expired. She cannot transfer until these things are resolved. As a BA, create a process flow that shows the most efficient approach or system that would enable her to renew the documentation needed to transfer her license. Then live on the call, I will create a process flow to address this question. I then need you to critique my approach. Let me know what was done well, and where I could have taken a better approach. This isn't just about process flows, that was just an example. Create scenarios where you also ask me what questions I would ask to gather business, functional, non-functional requirements, as well as other BA things. In the hour, the cycle will be: 1. You present the scenario 2. I have 15 minutes to solution it 3. We discuss my approach for 10 minutes. 4. We move on to the next scenario until the session is done.
