U.S. Business Data Review & Verification Specialist

We are looking for a dependable and detail-oriented freelancer to help review and verify business information for organizations located throughout the United States. The main responsibility is to review assigned records, contact businesses when verification is needed, confirm basic company information, and accurately document the results. This position is designed for someone who is comfortable following a structured process and maintaining accurate records. This is an information verification and data-quality role. It does not involve sales, telemarketing, advertising, lead generation, or promotional activities. Responsibilities Review assigned business records and identify information that requires confirmation. Make professional outbound calls to assigned U.S. businesses. Confirm business name, address, ZIP code, phone number, operating hours, and other requested details. Document verified information accurately in the provided system or spreadsheet. Identify discrepancies, outdated information, or missing details. Follow the provided verification script and project instructions. Complete calls efficiently, generally within 3–5 minutes. Submit a brief status update after completing each verification. Maintain consistent accuracy across all assigned records. Requirements Must currently reside in the United States. Strong spoken English and professional communication skills. Excellent attention to detail. Comfortable speaking with business representatives by phone. Reliable internet connection and mobile phone service. The initial verification assignment must be completed using a personal mobile phone number. Google Voice, VoIP, TextNow, and other virtual numbers are not accepted. Ability to follow instructions and complete work independently. Previous experience with data entry, online research, administrative work, or business verification is a plus but not required. Project Workflow Start with a short introductory assignment. Successful freelancers will receive regular batches of business records. Typical workload is approximately 2–4 verification calls per day. Daily assignments generally require around 1–2 hours depending on the number of records. Freelancers who consistently demonstrate accuracy and reliability may receive ongoing work.
