I am seeking a professional with the right business credentials and certifications for a business intelligence project. The project involves tasks such as data modeling, API integration, and Power BI development. Key responsibilities include data extraction, ETL development in Power Query, integration with Banco de México´s currency conversion. Additionally, the role involves designing visualizations, developing DAX measures, and publishing on Power BI Service. The project also requires documentation, and training. To provide some context: The project involves developing a comprehensive Power BI solution to analyze the operations of an internal procurement portal, which belongs to a newly created department within the company. The primary data sources consist of three portal APIs: Requests, Purchases, and Quotes. The data is retrieved in JSON format via authentication. Additionally, we are integrating a data source from the Banco de México to query exchange rates and convert USD transactions into Mexican Pesos (MXN). The volume is approximately 1,000 request records per month. Broadly speaking, the development scope includes: Connection and data extraction from the APIs, including handling lists, nested records, null values, empty responses, and potential connection errors. Transformation and data cleansing in Power Query: data types, dates, currencies, statuses, vendor names, duplicates, helper columns, and table consolidation via tracking numbers (folios). Data model construction, relationships, calendar table, and dimension tables (catalogs). Development of DAX measures for requests, quotes, purchases, cycle times, policy compliance, lowest-cost vendor selection, savings, additional costs, backlog, trends, and analysis broken down by buyer, department, and vendor. Design of approximately 3 to 6 executive report pages, featuring around 6 to 7 main visualizations per page, along with filters and seamless navigation. Data validation of amounts, tracking numbers, dates, and KPIs against the portal's source data. Publishing to Power BI Service, configuring scheduled refreshes, and delivering basic documentation. The expected deliverable is a fully functional, editable, and documented PBIX file, rather than just static images or a visual demonstration. To help you scope the project, I estimate a workload of roughly 100 to 140 working hours. However, I would appreciate it if you could provide your own hourly estimate, methodology, delivery timeline, and a cost breakdown for each phase.
