Summary

ABOUT US We are a Chilean engineering firm specializing in structural, geotechnical, hydraulic and hydrogeological studies. More than 530 projects delivered across 13 regions of Chile, with a senior team holding over 185 years of combined experience. We take part in mining, energy, industrial, infrastructure and real-estate projects, from conceptual engineering through construction. We hold registrations with MOP, MINVU, INN and ChileCompra, and operate under ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001 standards. We are expanding our network of collaborating drafters to support the document production of our projects, under an hourly contract through Upwork. WHAT THIS ROLE IS Technical documentation. Our engineers define the design, criteria and dimensions; you produce the drawings, sheets and models that communicate it. You will not be asked to make calculation or structural-design decisions. You will be asked to draw with precision, follow standards, keep consistency across sheets, and deliver documentation ready to be issued. This is a role of rigor and craft. We value someone who catches that one dimension does not match another before the reviewer does. HOW WE WORK (read before applying) - The contract is hourly within Upwork, with time logged through the platform's Time Tracker. We do not work outside Upwork. - Before each assignment we agree in writing on: scope, number of sheets, level of detail, delivery format and an estimated hour cap. If the work exceeds the estimate, it is discussed and approved before continuing. - All communication, sharing of background information and delivery of results happens through the platform's channels. - We work with our own standards: templates, title blocks, layers, text and dimension styles, blocks and symbology. We provide the complete package at the start and expect you to follow it strictly. - We begin with a first paid assignment of 5 to 8 hours, paid from the very first hour. We do not request free tests. - If the result is good, we move to a continuous flow of assignments with stable weekly hours. SCOPE OF ASSIGNMENTS Depending on your specialty, you will take part in one or more of these lines: 1. REINFORCED CONCRETE STRUCTURES - Structural plans, elevations, sections and details. - Rebar and reinforcement detailing drawings. - Foundation, footing, slab, beam, wall and column details. - Rebar schedules, steel quantities and bar lists. - Joint, anchor, penetration and insert details. 2. STEEL STRUCTURES - Erection drawings and shop drawings. - Bolted and welded connection details. - Lists of profiles, bolts, plates and elements. - Piece detailing and erection marks. - Industrial structures: sheds, pipe racks, platforms, stairs, walkways, transfer towers. 3. GEOTECHNICS - Stratigraphic profiles and borehole logs. - Location of test pits, boreholes and test points. - Slope sections and stability-analysis schemes. - Details of retaining walls, MSE walls, gabions, anchors and soil nailing. - Drainage details: subdrains, weep holes, filters, geosynthetics. - Ground-improvement and foundation-sealing details. 4. HYDRAULICS AND SANITARY - Plans and longitudinal profiles of collectors and networks. - Inspection chambers, energy dissipators and outlet works. - Channels, ditches, fords, culverts and crossings. - Sedimentation ponds and erosion-control works. - Waterproofing and protection details. 5. State your real rate. HOW TO APPLY We discard generic proposals. In your application include: 1. Your main specialty among the ten lines listed above, and how many years you have been producing that type of drawing. 2. Your software and real level of command in each, with years of use. 3. How many sheets you produce on average per workday and of what type. 4. How you verify the consistency of a drawing set before delivering it. 5. Your equipment specifications: processor, RAM and graphics card. 6. Your hourly rate in USD and the weekly hours you can truly commit. 7. Examples of drawings you can legally share: material from your Upwork portfolio, your own academic work or examples produced by you. Do not send us drawings or confidential documents belonging to other clients. 8. Begin your proposal with the word PROYECTISTA to confirm you read the full posting. We reply to every application that meets these eight points.
